Description
This picture is the result of a model study of a Blackrock spy found in the human starting zone in World of Warcraft. Keldric is supposed to go against one in the next illustration for Project Level so I needed to design an armor that would befall such a character. The armor designs are very crude at such an early level in the game so I didn't have much to go on outside of badly textured models so I took inspiration of the lore.The orcs found in that region are relatively low level and I wanted to emphasize that by designing an armor that would be reserved for the lower class in orc society. I also didn't want anything too heavy or too black, the Blackrock clan lives in a volcanic region where heavy clothing would be detrimental to their survival and where dyes to color the armor would be harder to find.
Constructive criticism is deeply appreciated!

Project Level is an art experiment where we will follow the life of a human paladin as he grows to become a hero in the World of Warcraft universe. To do this, after every level gained, an experience the character lived through will be transformed into an illustration. The overarching goal of this project is to develop my skills in both traditional and digital art while maintaining a schedule. Creating a consistent style with the help of gathered constructive criticisms was also at the forefront of my mind when implementing the project.

Hey again~
First thing to note is I don't know much about shading but this shading here looks off. The only thing I can recommend is looking at references ;^;
The armour on him is really cool and interesting! I think it looks perfect~
Though, the arms on him don't have much definition to them as most would think Orcs have. Also, the hair is really flat, it looks like it's clinging to the head while it should be a little more puffed out. I hope this can help in some way~

I hoped I provided enough references and criticism!

Oh, everything helps and I know exactly what you mean by the shading looking off. Since this is only a model for a future illustration, I didn't want to spend too long correcting it. Currently working on drawing him for my next illustration where he will be in a more dynamic pose making shading a tad easier. If everything goes according to plan, you will be able to see the results of your comment later in the evening.
Thank you again for your help!

Are you going to do this with the other Orc Clans? Or possibly the in-between years prior to the First War and the Second War (Warcraft Adventures: Lord Of The Clans)

I do intend on visiting all periods of Warcraft history when it relates to the continent of Lordaeron and Azeroth. Keep your eyes peeled for more

Warcraft is a universe rich in lore, but what about doing more than just Azeroth (the planet-Warcraft is sometimes really confusing) Draenor and the other continents, islands, even the other side of those worlds
