Mooi werk.
Alvast bedankt

i like line-ups like these, they give me the chance so check out styles I haven't tried yet, or interesting ring combinations.
I like the way fieldstone looks in this shot, does it always look like that, or do the rings have fredom of movement?

Thanks for your comment!
Fieldstone (AR 4,2 in this shot) holds this shape very well, but it also has enough flexibility to make it into a bracelet.
(Enne... als je meer wil weten, mag je 't ook in 't Nederlands vragen )

ah thanks for the insight ^^
XD oh man, the first time in forever I neglect to check your homepage to get more insight on the artist, and she turns out to be a fellow dutchy.
achja ik ben nieuwsgierig van aard, maar over chainmail weet ik het meeste zo onderhand wel. Ik geef er immers nog wel eens les in
But I actually prefer the english language, so you'll have to forgive me for speaking english whenever I can get away with it.

My first piece was I byzantine bracelet, for which I only used a picture as an example. Months later I discovered the Maille Artisans International League website. If there is a weave you would like to learn, that website is all you need

Love that 3-1 chain. Interesting use of the different ring sizes.

Thanks!! You should try it too! The weave is very easy, so I was experimenting with multiple ring sizes to make it look a little more interesting.

I've done 3-1 once. I don't think I have the patience with it to try different ring sizes. It's one of those weaves that I would love to throw across the room. I lost my place every time I put it down and had to do trial and error to get the right end again. I can't weave a piece all in one sitting because I have a heathen 2 year old that likes to play with stuff she's not supposed to when I'm busy. I love the weave, though, so I'll have to do more of it when the monster minds better... LOL

Haha... Little kids and chainmail are not the best combination indeed! Hope you get a chance to try the 3-1 again. Some little advise to keep track of the end of your chains; Wrap a twisty tie around the first few rings. In that way you always recognize where you started your piece. Weaving on after a little break will become a lot easier that way! Good luck
