Description
Almost a year ago in April 2017 I was blessed in joining my aunt, uncle, and cousins to China for their family's fourth adoption. Their four daughters have been an inspiration and blessing; I couldn't be more proud to call them family. Since then I've officially decided to be an adopting parent when I marry and start having kids. In the meantime I wanna call out to others with hearts for orphans and share different ways you can help, even if you can't adopt. This webcomic series is inspired by Gloria, one of my cousins. She was the 3rd girl my aunt and uncle adopted into our family, and like the little red fox in the story she was born with a "little arm". Both the fox and her share the same little limb, and the character manifested from her favorite animal: a fox. Even with a limb difference she never lets anything stand in her way. Gloria's spirit shouts "if you can do it, so can I" and she finds a way; most of the time I forget she only has one hand. She successfully plays piano, rides a bike, climbs playground equipment, plays wii with her sisters, is starting ukulele lessons, plans to learn sign language this fall, and makes jewelry. At 9 years old Gloria has successfully launched two brands in her family's jewelry business: Born In Your Heart and Love Grows, both inspired by her story of adoption and designed by her. To date they've used the sales to put a well in Africa and placed 9 pieces of medical equipment in a China orphanage.
I created the three-legged fox to manifest that "can-do" spirit of Gloria's, to serve as an inspiration while spreading orphan awareness. I've personally witnessed how God changes and molds the hearts of adopted children. Each orphan comes from different situations, all with emotional scars, and some with physical scars. The healing has been incredible in my four cousins, and I've watched them grow from timid children who can't speak a word of English to ornery, fun-loving, giggle-filled, smile-covered, loving, and loved daughters/sisters/cousins/nieces. They have a family now, and its oh so precious to them. Love has changed them. It's nourished them. It's healing them. It's letting them grow. Adoption is a beautiful thing. And I want to use this mini series to help spread awareness of the situations many orphans today live; awareness of how adoption can change their lives; and awareness that just because can't adopt doesn't mean you can't help. Like the three-legged fox discovers: there's always a way.
Stay tuned for more Three-Legged Fox episodes!

Can someone make an animation of these? That's something the world needs to have.

Β awwh. Glad you like it so much <3
Β I considered doing an animated version of these during the brainstorming stage. At the moment I know nothing about making animations beyond .gifs, which would take a million years :/

I didn't even notice the fox had only 3 legs at first Is that a good thing or a bad thing?

It's neither, but if I had to choose, it's good There's nothing wrong with being different, the red fox was born this way. That's one of the themes of this webcomic: even though the three-legged fox is different she still finds a way to do things. She's the same as everyone else, and can do what everyone else can, just sometimes she has toΒ do it a little differently. Her unique disposition and innovative techniques are what make her special. So is it good or bad? Because it makes her special, and challenges her to be better, I'd say it's good.

Yeah, I think me not noticing the missing leg at first actually proved that you captured the message really well!
