To all who serve evil, corruption, and greed, I am fear and terror; the teeth that will slice their flesh, the talons that will rend their bones, and the fire that will burn them and their misdeeds to ash. I am a prince of House Cloud-Dancer, brother to the king of all dragons, the partner of Kaine Dragonheart and a commander for the Order of the Dragon Riders. I am Thorinen Cloud-Dancer!"

The eldest prince of House Cloud-Dancer and the brother of King Eonan Cloud-Dancer, Thorinen is one of the most powerful dragons in existence in Kairegorn. Bonded to the half-elf dragon rider Kaine Dragonheart, he is a proud and noble member of the order, serving since he hatched for Kaine ten years ago. A fully mature adult by dragon standards, he is wise and intelligent many centuries beyond his years due to his consistent reading of his rider's vast collection of books. He is likewise exceedingly skilled in combat due to his vast magic power and great strength.
Adorned with green scales edged with black and beautiful frills on face and back, Thorinen is as handsome and as noble as dragons can be. At 150 feet long, he is of average size for a dragon, and weighs ten tons due to his hollow, strong bones bones, the air sacs in his lungs and skeleton, and his svelte-yet-muscular physique. He is also the mate to a beautiful white dragoness named Ninharpa, whose rider, Ilaina, is his rider's wife.
The second-born son of Prince Consort Drakefang and his mate, Queen Madea Cloud-Dancer (the "Mad Queen"), Thorinen's egg was given to the Order of the Dragon Riders as a means of showcasing House-Cloud-Dancer's support for the Order of the Dragon Riders, where his egg remained until he hatched for Kaine, their hearts magically melding in their sacred bond as with all dragons and their riders. Trained first by Kaine's parents Hughnen and Ilira and the their dragons, Titans and Galatea, their growing strength also required training by the likes of Adrianna, a senior council member of the Order, as well as the order's surviving founder, Luminos herself after Hughnen and Titanos were presumed killed in action at the Dark Chasm by Delthyon and Sauros. Fast and avid learners, they grew rapidly in skill and knowledge, eager to avenge their teacher's apparent deaths. Thorinen was also hard hit after the assassination of his own father, Prince Drakefang, when he was brutally butchered by assassins from the Dark Corps, the sect of villainous dragon riders led by Delthyon and Sauros that betrayed Kairegorn, conquering and siding with orcs to take Kairegorn as their own empire.
By the time he was mature, Thorinen and Kaine had grown in strength and skill to the point they were anointed with the rank of Lieutenant Colonels, and eventually became council members for the order; an unprecedented feat, given their young ages. They gained media attention by way of news and radio, heralded as heroes for helping turn the tide of many battles. Eventually, during the fourth battle of the Lucien Vale, Kaine and Thoreinen became known as some of the few few who could go toe to toe with Delthyon and Sauros when they fought the leaders of the Dark Corps to a standstill that lasted hours, only broken when Kaine threw his dagger at Delthyon's right eye, forcing him and Sauros to retreat, swearing vengeance. Since that day, Thorinen and Sauros have clashed many more times, alongside their riders.
Thorinen also has since become a teacher himself; after Kaine took the orphaned princess Seelena Lirnna of the city-state of Oberolon into his care after it was destroyed by Delthyon's forces, a dragon named Scorchlight hatched for her, and Thorinen has helped the young red dragon come into his own. At present, he and his rider serve the leaders of Drakhart Squadron, the informal name for his unit as coined by the media, having assumed command from fellow dragon Korak Azurewings and his rider, dwarven inventor Arnen sledgefang, when they stepped down from command.
Together, Kaine and Thorinen stride forward together, seeking to stop the Millennium War that that Delthyon, Sauros, and their forces have waged against Kairegorn, seeking to end the tyranny of the Dark Corps once and for all.

A revision of Thorinen Cloud-Dancer, the prince of Kairegorn's dragons. My initial design was perfect regarding his body, but his face needed work; the cheek spikes made his expressions harder to read, and I felt they took away from his ability to emote better, so you can connect with him as a character. I also gave him lips to cover his fangs because it would aid in this ability to express himself. It also makes him look more heroic, to be honest. Exposed teeth belong on evil dragons unless the heroic ones have scars that reveal their teeth. The scales along his face also made him look more realistic, and would protect his ear holes without muffling the sounds. To say he looks better is an understatement. I've never been happier to see a dragon character changed for the better than when I changed Thorinen's face. It makes me smile to know he looks so much better.
