Turn up your speakers, this one talks!This was my animation final! I'm pretty excited about it because I really felt like I hit a learning curve in my work- FINALLY. It's no secret that I struggle tremendously with animation, but I think there's some hope for me yet, at least.
This was my first time going back to FBF animation in flash after a while of working paper-pencil, and I'm really happy with how well the process went. I'm even happier that working in flash worked out because that means I can practice outside of school now, on my own.
sound clip is from Madagascar and the characters are (based off of) the birds/owls from Sleeping Beauty

The owl reminds me of Scowl the Owl from Happily Ever After XD ("He's baaaaaaaaaad, sooooo baaaaaad~")

i'm so glad i saw this- im trying to teach myself flash and i've seen a lot of still and basic stuff online- this helped reassure me that good animation can be done with it. But i need help- since im self teaching myself- any tips with using it? especially from someone accustomed to PS?

Anyway, I'd suggest trying to find a few books on Flash- and there are many out there. I like to suggest the "Flash CS__ Professional" to newcomers since the author starts with the very basics in the beginning and moves on to intermediate stuff! Other than that, just keep playing with it, improve your animation skills, that kind of stuff ^^.
Also, Flash is not always my favorite program to actually *draw* in (like I did with this animation), but if that's what you want to do with it, it's really just making keyframes and drawing it out like you would in real life (just less messy since there's no paper)!

I just got to your page, and i wish there would be hope for me (on becoming an animator) as there is for you, all your work is great! and since this was submitted around 2010, i'm sure your work is far greater now than it was back then, best of luck because for what i've seen here you're ought to become a great animator :]
