Turn up your speakers, this one talks!This was my animation final! I'm pretty excited about it because I really felt like I hit a learning curve in my work- FINALLY. It's no secret that I struggle tremendously with animation, but I think there's some hope for me yet, at least.
This was my first time going back to FBF animation in flash after a while of working paper-pencil, and I'm really happy with how well the process went. I'm even happier that working in flash worked out because that means I can practice outside of school now, on my own.
sound clip is from Madagascar and the characters are (based off of) the birds/owls from Sleeping Beauty

originaly I though it was the owl off of bambi, but then somehow the birds clued me into sleeping beauty.lol

Thanks! It's not colored because it was a school assignment focused on the animation, which is a very time consuming process (most animators don't clean up and color themselves in Frame by Frame animation)

i dont know if this makes sense, but how do you make the words and animation line up so well? it really looks like the owl is talking.

Thank you so much for the kind comment! As far as the owl looking like he's talking, I learned this during my time at animation college. One of the best books I can recommend for that would be "Character Animation Crash Course!" by Eric Goldberg. Essentially it's about getting the right mouth shapes at the right time (~2 frames before you would hit that mouth-shape-sound in reality) and hitting certain points in the sound clip with movement of the character.
