Vengeance is your classic 'boss monster that's pretty accessible with a reasonable negate', with a few twists that I still quite like, to this day. In specific, the fact that his negation is during any time except the opponent's Main Phase means that oftentimes he becomes live a bit after being Summoned, providing protection to your plays, rather than active disruption. Additionally, the protection from Spell effects is also neat, given the obvious lore connection of him being 'immune' to the Forbidden items. While the art is nothing to write home about, the flavor of the card is still something I quite like about it.

Trivia: Vengeance's wings are actually from Archlord Krysta, emblematic of the connection to the lore of the Archlords/Darklords that 'Condemned' belong to.
