Description WAS originally just touching up a three year-old image of Neya, as I had done before in 2015, but decided it looked good enough to be put into something, for it was a shame to just let it be. So I concocted the scale chamber which is a part of a concept I had thought up. I'm in the middle of Sleeper right now, and I have a few more ideas going on right now as well, but this concept serves to fill a crucial gap in Neya's story. She gained the ability to possess and utilize Light gems by fluke, thanks in part to her friend, but it's never really been exploited before. It just so happens that one of the stories I've been thinking about lately has a main character reduce in scale to rescue someone.

Don't know where I'd take it, but I'm always thinking not too far ahead into the future. Plus I'd have to say that Neya looks great!

Neya and her measurements?Β

Well, she ain't tall!

Saffireprowler In reply to TheTitanOfGeek [2017-01-08 18:33:04 +0000 UTC]

Neya normally is almost eight feet tall, but the concept that I'm referring to is a story based upon a rescue in which she has to infiltrate a place at four inches tall and rescue someone.

TheTitanOfGeek In reply to Saffireprowler [2017-01-08 19:53:14 +0000 UTC]

Well, it's a decent concept in it of itself, but I'm trying to figure out how you would make your own twists to it.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Saffireprowler In reply to TheTitanOfGeek [2017-01-08 19:54:46 +0000 UTC]

Well for one, it'd be a bit different just in nature alone. My stories usually involved stopping someone, this one may not be the case. I've toyed with the notion of a pure rescue story for a while now, and I've never really exploited Neya's size shifting abilities, I hope it makes a good blend.

Seriously though, do you have any good suggestions as to an antagonist I can come up with? This is a real chance at input here, don't waste it.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

TheTitanOfGeek In reply to Saffireprowler [2017-01-08 20:29:05 +0000 UTC]

Fine, not ISIS.Β

I do have a suggestion though:Β If you are willing to do so, maybe a gang of mobsters (Meaning they don't care about race when recruiting) that are considerably strong in barehanded combat. I want you to be creative with this and push beyond your norms. Maybe make a human character that can level with fighters of Xendran races. SOMETHING new!

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Saffireprowler In reply to TheTitanOfGeek [2017-01-08 20:32:10 +0000 UTC]

This is top secret information I'm about to share with you .

Neya belonged to a Human-ran Sleeper-based program called "Sky Soldier". They aren't near the Sleeper level of skills and abilities, but are bred and raised to be like super soldiers. The Humans integrated not only their kind, but Xendrans as well. So there is a window of opportunity there.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

TheTitanOfGeek In reply to Saffireprowler [2017-01-08 20:38:12 +0000 UTC]

Maybe you can make a small, subtle link between our narratives by having someone who was born of Earth be the leader of a gang that has strength that Neya hasn't seen in seemingly regular humans.Β

I'm requesting this because you make humans seem weak in your stories. In some of your stories, they're like Goombas or guys with great importance but no real power.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Saffireprowler In reply to TheTitanOfGeek [2017-01-08 20:41:04 +0000 UTC]

That's because the Xendrans are physically larger and stronger than the Humans.

I see what you mean.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

TheTitanOfGeek In reply to Saffireprowler [2017-01-08 20:49:53 +0000 UTC]

On a typical basis, yes. By default, they have more strength and are usually taller.

That being said, that doesn't mean that they're weaker in their entirety. I'd like to believe that a trained human can beat down an untrained Xendran without much trouble and vice versa.

After all, you have human heroes and villains in your stories. Outside of a select few (Andrew, Dudley, etc), the human villains seem to be throwaways when it comes to confrontation and the heroes don't seem to contribute that much in terms of combat.Β

It's a nitpick, I know, but if the two races coexist in the same story, they both have to have power and importance in some aspects.

That's also why I think you should also break away from having the Sleepers only combat each other, even though I genuinelyΒ enjoy the choreography. Have them fight a robot or a mutant or something. Make us believe other elements in the world could threaten the lives of these characters. Doing so would make us connect with them more and see them unfold as personalities (Or lack of).

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Saffireprowler In reply to TheTitanOfGeek [2017-01-08 21:03:13 +0000 UTC]

Well, Sleeper Opal tried to fight Gala, look how well that worked out. The reason I don'tΒ  usually depict that is due to overconfidence on their part that will (in my opinion) make it predictable. I hate predictability....

I was considering making Neya go up against tougher Humans in the story (and in a few future stories). The ORIGINAL thought for the concept was that the city of which Ixora reduced to about one millimeter in area had managed to find a way to defy her and somehow get technology once again, possibly from an insider on Ixora's staff, and Neya would have to infiltrate the city and stop them. BUT that plan was scrapped.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Saffireprowler In reply to TheTitanOfGeek [2017-01-08 21:13:17 +0000 UTC]

No. Nana Neya was scrapped because Ixora is not surrounded by traitors, and because the plot just wasn't adding up.

But I think I know of whom would be rescued, and you already know of this character.

Thing is that when I did that drawing of her on the set of Virgo Tuus in front of a candle, that laid the foundation. Instead of the uniform making her small, a powerful hex does it to her and brings her to a leader OF SOME SORT.

I could potentially link the two concepts.

Saffireprowler In reply to TheTitanOfGeek [2017-01-08 21:43:09 +0000 UTC]

I don't know yet. Since it was Hexen powers that shrunk her, it'd take a powerful Light. I'm thinking that by the time that story comes around, Peli is able to reverse Hex spells and she'd know Neya.
