Actually, I think Christine's lyrics are the ones that aren't trying very hard. When you think about it, a lot of Raoul's lines boil down to "Let me do so-and-so for you. I want to give such-and-such to you." And a lot of Christine's boil down to "Do so-and-so for me! Say such-and-such to me!"
Of course, I actually love the song, so I partially kid.
