I can take a look, Β however I'm not in college or anything. I'm self taught and in high-school right now xD I consider myself a student because I'm still in highschool, as far as your specific art you linked me it's hard to tell since the origional lineart was done by somebody else, so all I can talk about is the shading. Shading looks like it's from an animation, the loincloth is missed it looks like, so if you go back to this piece it might be worthwhile to finish that up as well, it will give more depth to the character.. hmm something to look forward to in the future is finding more interesting colors to shade the base with. Even when it comes to cel shading, a shadow doesn't always have to be just darker than the original color. If a character is outside for example, the shadow will be blue tinted since the sky is reflecting off of them. You can try using "Multiply" layers if you don't already and changing the color of the shadow, just slightly. Using layer styles and playing around with the color that way instead of directly can be fun.
