The above is a link to a screenshot of my  brush settings.

The lighter you press the more blending happens, the harder the more pigment.

First thing I wanna say is that, wow I've learned so much about grayscale from you. Your art is amazing however I have a question, I understand the basics of grayscale like shading and blending it, however when you really go in depth how do you make it so smooth and nice and do those details so well, that it looks more 3D than 2D? I'm a beginning artist and I just wish for some tips for me to build up on to make some amazing art!

To make it look 3D I have to round out the shading,  if you have like a sphere and one light the shadow will be really smooth,  I use a sphere as my base shape as pretty much everything I make is cute and round.  I make a sphere ofF to the side generally to figure out the light direction. That might be a good way to practice,  using a soft brush take a flat circle and make it look 3D. Keep practicing until you get it!  Choose a midtone color,  highlight and shadow.  Just use 3 shades to Practice Shape. When you're confident with that move on to other shape types,  perhaps I'll design am exercise in the future for others to Follow with to teach this as its hard to explain perfectly! I'll comment on this again when I do so you can find it if this doesn't make sense!
