Felt like trying to make a tutorial of some kind. I'm not sure how helpful this is, but I hope it's better than those "circle -> owl" style tutorials.Related content

I'm gonna have to try the gray scale shading one. Cel-shading is a bit too "rough" for me.

You could even go halfway, starting with cel shading and then smoothing it out where appropriate. :3c

Yeah that's true. I have tried that in the past but it's annoying when it won't smooth out properly. X) Gonna keep trying though.

Painting the edges usually works the best when you use a brush with less opacity and constantly pick colors from either side -> creating a smoother transition. C:
Whether you go along with the edge or perpendicular to it is up to preference, I suppose. Apparently perpendicular might be better, though. *stroke chin*
