Description Completed! *whew!*

Here's a tutorial I whipped up for my "Howling" wolf sculpture - I was just going to submit a final pic and some others in my scraps, but this was just more fun!

Materials used: 16 gauge galvinized wire, 24 gauge galvinized wire, Aluminum foil, masking tape, "Sculpey" oven-bake clay (terracotta), acrylic paints (black, white, payne's gray, burnt umber, burnt sienna) and a variety of toothpicks, icepicks and fingernails.
Time Spent: Approx. 12 hours, probably more.
Difficulty level: Moderate, but it really depends on how much detail you plan on including.
Fun level: Sky high!

Enjoy!

Thank you! It helped that I had a teacher looking over my shoulder saying "I don't think that's supposed to go there" and "Don't wolves have legs?"

OOOOH THANKYOU FOR MAKING THIS!!! This is everything I needed to know! Just wondering though....where can you get this clay? (what store) Do you know if they sell it at a store called Joann? (You might not know what that store is)

I got my sculpey clay at a store called Hobby Lobby, but I'm fairly certain most craft stores (including Joann's Fabrics) has it.
And you're welcome - I'm glad it could help you!

This was a brilliant tutorial and the best Ive found so far for simple, concise points! A quick question, where do you buy your wire for the armature? I cant seem to find any anywhere? Any help you can give would be much appreciated! ^-^

Well, I'm lucky to have an engineer dad who had the stuff in stock, but I believe Home Depot carries the two different types of wires. (Actually, they carry Several different types) They've had the best selection that I've seen so far.
And thank you for the fave, I appreciate it!

Thankies! And I completely understand - I made this to give some tips, but I never would want someone to do it verbatum with no creativity - where's the fun in that?

Oooo, excellent tutorial. I'd use it but I'm not much of a sculpter. But I'm sure it will come in very handy for someone else. Good work!
