Description A map I spent a while fixing and improving. Made from a heavily modified QBAM.

...

On the Fields of Bethlehem

The year of 1920 brought upon shockwaves to the world. The ceasefire of the Great War forced the once large Saxonian Empire into a humiliated shell of itself. Rusviet, the largest nation in both territory and population, suffering from famine, unrest and conspiracy. Polania, a struggling nation in trying to survive their way in this world.

The Treaty of Warsaw was supposed to bring some semblance of peace. Instead, as insurgents attacked and nearly assassinated Tsar Nicholas II, peace has all but broken down. Eastern Europe has once more filled with blood, and the fields have become thirsty once more.

There was one end goal, however: The Factory.

Located in Dacia, all three factions had their eyes on it. Dubbed the Great Race, it wouldn't be long before infighting began. Saxony would prove host to Prince Wilhelm overthrowing Kaiser Friedrich and placing the Empire under military rule. Polania would have multiple militias and generals running rampant on the countryside and in their neighbors. Rusviet would suffer a revolution by Grigori Rasputin and Lev Alekseevich Zubov, killing the Tsar and declaring a new "era".

Overseas, the Federal Union of Usonia and the Dominion of Laurentia invades Rusviet Alaska, placing it in a co-dominium while allowing many Rusviet citizens to flee her, including one Olga Romanova and a 120,000 strong of loyalist soldiers. Though in private, it was a ploy to protect business interests of the Usonian elite.

Many of the robber-barons, imperialists and Wall-Street bankers have been pushing through the idea of America's Manifest Destiny, especially through the Progressive Party, through people such as Creighton Long, Francis E. Booker, and Johnny Wallace.

Two other places of note is the Crimean Khanate and the Nordic Kingdoms, who have seen an influx of refugees due to close proximity. The Khanate's princess Zehra ordered the fortification of the Crimean borders, and skirmishes with the Rusviet Tsardom and only recently the Caucasia Soviet has started to become everyday life, while courting the Sublime State and the Qajar Empire for support. Meanwhile, the Nordic Kingdoms started placing pressure on Finland to allow Nordic soldiers within their borders, while increasingly fortifying their own with Saxony.

Down south, the continent of South America is aflame as the military dictatorships of Bolivaria and the Inkan Confederation launches their wars of conquest, all the while coercing the Central American Federation in their rather radical "Centralamericanism" ideology to join in, mostly in a bid to control the much desired Panama Canal.

The introduction of the C.A.F also brought in the United States of Aztlan, still reeling from humiliation from a war against Usonia. While a few nationalists would continue raiding the former Sonora, causing Usonia to forcefully create a DMZ among the Aztlan border, most attention was to the South, where Aztlano and Central American forces increasing devastate each other, especially along the Guatemalan area.

While Choile has always been rather neutral to the affairs of their northern neighbors, age-old claims have forced them to take action, while the land of Paraguay with support from La Plata has taken them as far as the Northern Gran Chaco. The aforementioned latter nation has usually kept out of other's affairs unless it's for trade, but as the Inkans have been hostile to everyone, they reluctantly fortify their border.

Other than the main powers of Europa, the Frankish Kingdom starts up old skirmishes once again, the once debilitated power coming under a militaristic government, demanding the lands of Burgundy and Belgium back, as well as Nice and Corsica from Italia. Skirmishes happened, but complete war hasn't broken out. Yet.

Italia also skirmishes with Saxony, longing for the days of returning Venetia back to their fold, a thought held with Slavia who desired Slovenia, which, despite their ambitions and small arguments over Trieste, formed a small but unrealized mutuality.

Other than Slavia, the Balkans are suspiciously quiet...

Hispania's monarchy had long since been overthrown, who has retreated to their Dual Monarchy friends of Lusitania. While the Hispania Republic's first years were fairly stable, tensions between the various wings and political spectrums rose to extreme highs, with paramilitaries starting to claim territories.

While the Atlantic Isles didn't interfere with the war in Europe, Africa is another story...

Tunisia is a hot battleground with Italian and Frankish soldiers competing regularly for control of the region, with Berbers and Arabs forced to choose sides. French Maghreb/North-West Africa had experienced too many uprisings to the point of constant division (they had to separate Algiers from French North Africa and the Sahara from West Africa, now the Gold Coast). The French East and Madagaskar are the only ones stable. The independence of French Niger as the Aïr Sultanate was a further loss of prestige, and with the Shari colony going rogue, Frankish colonial holdings are in dire straits.

Albion Africa is more stable, albeit small conflicts with the Shari Free State and to a larger extent, the Saxonian Kongo. Due to Albion's fairly lenient policies and allowance of native rulers, they are less colonial holdings and more like closely knitted allies, although Rhodesia-Nyasaland and the very hated Drakesland Dominion are exceptions. The Kanem and Aïr Sultanates, once French colonies, have gained independence and allied themselves closely with the British, although this had the side affect of the Songhai-Aïr war spilling into the Hauso-Yoruba Kingdom, and Egyptian troops having to stretch themselves in Kanem and parts of the Shari Free state, not helping the Canal situation with the Sublime State.

While Italian Libya had not much outside of the Tunisia situation, the Abyssinian conflict is where it is focused, where they seek to claim the ancient African nation as a boon for Christianity. Abyssinia has seen volunteers from other nations, especially Lusitania and Hispania, to resist the Italian threat. So far, with Frankish backing, this has succeeded.

Saxonian Kongo has just as much bloodshed, with one Bruno Huttig launching a massacre against the French Kongo, East Africa, and Rhodesia-Nyasaland. Due to the Saxonian coup and French Kongo ravaging the ports, it has unofficially operated without Saxonian authority, and therefore an independent nation in technicality.

Aïr Sultanate, when it grabbed it's independence, also grabbed the Frankish Mossiland along with it. Furious, the Songhai people (Who settled there after the Frankish drove out the hard resisting Mossi into the Gold Coast) rebelled, taking a rather pro-Frankish stance.

While Lusitanian Africa and Usonian protectorate/ally Liberia are fairly quiet, recent Frankish activity has made them nervous, especially as Liberia absorbed Frankish Guinea when it seceded, adopting many people as well as Mossi refugees fleeing Frankish persecution. This sentiment is shared with the Geledi Sultanate, an Albion protectorate who once united and ruled the Horn, now a rump state in Bossaso, Puntland Region.

The Osman Empire in Anatolia, also known as the Sublime State, was a great power. On paper at least. In reality it was a continuously crumbling state, rogue Saxonians and Bedouin raiders continuously chipping away at their strength. The radical Bolshevists of Caucasia and Egyptians are not helping. Arabia meanwhile does it's best to kick off the Saxonian menace on it's land, with King Al-Hadid enlisting the help of the Usonians. A poor decision, because he did not expect the Usonians to overstay, and possibly leave the land in ruins.

Caucasia had fallen under a total regime, under one Polad Ioseliani. Professing a theocratic ideology of "Bolshevism", it preaches the "Revolution's Will", calling for the liberation of the people and the industry in their hands. From what little can be heard about it, the once beautiful lands have now turned into a polluted wasteland. The brutalist nation wishes to spread this new ideology, which now sees rebels and skirmishes among it's neighbors, as well as what can be called a "Red Scare".

The Qajar Empire's only problems is Caucasia, who constantly attacks their borders with a bit of success. The other is the one they shared with Rusviet, where the recently annexed Turkmen region has become a military frontier, while also using neighboring Afghanistan as a buffer.

The Albion Raj and Burma is rather secure, but it's natives' call for independence has grown stronger and stronger, to the point that the Raj is close to experiencing what French North Africa has, a colony starting to be divided.

Tibet is just there.

Siam and the Indochinese Union are in a bitter staredown. Both sides distrust each other, and it was not uncommon for them to attempt to destabilize the other. But that didn't compare to up north...

Zhonghua on the other hand, has experienced an age of turmoil and violence. With the death of the Dragon Emperor, many of it's own former generals, bureaucrats and people turned against each other. With guns and old mechs in the wrong places, the fight has never before escalated, with the only semblance of peace present in the Shenzhen and Qingdao governments. The more northern cliques are forced to fight two fronts: each other, and the building of Rusviet's soldiers.

Goguryeo and the rest of Asia are not only worried about Rusviet, but the Togawa Shogunate as well. While not much is known, what can be deferred is that a militarist mindset may have overtaken them, and with Usonia's attention towards the Middle East, East Asia and the Pacific is vulnerable.

The Albion East Indies and the Dominions of Oceania and Melanesia play host and occupied the Saxonian East Indies, as the remaining haven of Gunter von Duisburg and other Imperial "redeemists", who among them possess Prince Oskar, a claimant to the throne of Saxony and a rebel against now-Kaiser Wilhelm. While Clan Albion and Usonia has promised support, as of now it seems like a pipe dream.

All in all, there is only one factor: An organization with a face of a orange. They have manipulated the world into their places. The board is set, and they roll their dice.

For in the game, there is only one price.

The Factory.

...

Wanted something different, and it's taking a hella lot of time to write up stuff for CGDOB China. I will get to finishing it eventually.

Trivia:

Some elements are taken from Red Flood and Kaiserreich, such as the territorial claims of Russia, the independent German-analogue Congo, and the independent Indochinese Union (not communist, just very nationalist)

To fit with Iron Harvest's weird naming conventions, I simply looked up archaic names or alternative names or even straight up made up, for certain areas. For instance, the name of Buenos Aires comes from Real de Nuestra Señora Santa María del Buen Ayre (as far as I looked up), thought Santa Maria part was chosen instead. Grenadina (Colombia) and the Bolivarian Republic (Venezuela) are based upon their respective past names or official name (Colombia used to be called the Granadine Confederation) and the Venezuela part was just dropped.

I also gave certain countries a more native name scheme, such as Mexico City being Tenochtitlan instead, and Peru-Bolivia becoming the Inkan Confederation.

Lusitania is based on irl, except of course the name and in some ways, based on the Austro-Hungarian Empire. Oh, and Janeiro dropped the Rio part.

Ireland became Eire to complete the Celtic theme in the British Isles, while Finland kept it's name mainly because I feel there will still be significant Swedish influence. While Italy is just the same except being officially Italia, Dacia partially based on Youjo Senki's Dacia while Hispania is based on it's wiki version and A Young Woman's Political Record Hispania. Hellas is just another name for Greece, while I dropped the "South" part of Yugoslavia, and Bulgaria is renamed Rumelia in reference to what the Ottomans used to call it.

Sublime 'State' actually belongs to Persia, though Sublime Porte was a term used in the Ottomans. Also yes, the Qajars have ruled Iran before they were deposed in 1925.

I gave Southeastern Arabia to Saxony because I feel as if it actually makes more sense to be there, there's a heavy concentration of oil, and as an allusion to the Gulf War and the US Invasion of Iraq, just to keep the Usonian Eagleland theme up.

Saxonian East Indies existed since apparently there is no Netherlands, so I assume someone else must have taken it.

The Shari Free State is just Rhodesia and apartheid South Africa but with French colonists.

The pictures are just Nikola Tesla, a shot from the trailer, and from the War Thunder April Fools event with the walker tanks.

Here's link to a non-crumpled map without the capitals, pictures, and nation names.

Anyways I hope you enjoy!

Also thanks to whoever created the QBAM, both environmental and provincial ones (I apologize I cannot find them). And honestly, I thank mdc01957 for the inspiration of much my work.
