Sasuke....huh....Sasuke Uchiha....

I walked down a path alone. It was the way back to Konohanagure. I had been training, alone as usual. Shikamaru had told all of my old class mates to meet up so we could discuss Sasuke. What about Sasuke? What did we need to talk about? He left.

He left.... 2 years ago.

He almost killed Naruto. I hate him for it.

I care about Sasuke. I'm Naruto's friend. I support what he's doing full tilt. I'd like to see him bring Sasuke back. It'd heal Sakura and Ino. It'd heal all of us.

I don't care about him. He's hurt Sakura, Ino, Shikamaru, Kiba, Choji, Neji, Lee...everyone. Epically Naruto. Why does Naruto care so much? All he did was hurt him.

Oh Naruto. Why do you care so much? I care about you. I want your happiness. And if that happiness is getting Sasuke back so be it. I'll help you.

Naruto had gone to plead to the Raikage so Sasuke wouldn't be marked criminal and killed.
I fear he doesn't have a chance.

I can't help remember the times I spoke to Sasuke. When I sparred with him.

"Hey Uchiha." I walked up to the raven haired boy.

"What do you want?" he challenged

"Woah, take a chill Uchiha. I just wanted to ask if you'd spar with me is all. I need to work on hand-to-hand combat."

"No find another loser, like Naruto to help you with that." Sasuke turned and walked away before he had gone 5 paces I said, "A loser who's going to surpass you."

He turned sharply and looked at me, "What?"

"You heard me. He's going to surpass you, and become Hokage." I told him firmly

Sasuke flipped his hair out of his eyes and smirked, "That loser? HA! You make me laugh (Name). As if that loser could anything but a loser. Once a loser always a loser."

"Don't give me that crap! You know what he can do! He's going to be a great ninja! You'll see!"

"I'd like to see you prove me wrong." Sasuke turned to walk away again

"Fight me." Is all I said and started trying to hit him.

Of course he blocks easily but he didn't know that I had really tried to hurt him. he realized I was serious soon enough. It was all he could do to not get a bruise. He started to hit back after he realized he wasn't getting away from me.
At the end of it all we were laying on the ground next to each other covered in scratches, bruises, cut, and panting heavily. I had almost no chakra left. I felt it was the same to him. We were both exhausted.

"Tie?" I asked panting

"Tie" he agreed quickly. If he wanted to prove himself the winner he had to knock me out and he didn't have the energy to do so.

"You're [pant] not bad Uchiha, I'll give that to you [pant]."

"You're not [pant] half bad either (Name) [pant]." He replied smiling ever so slightly

"Oh? [pant] Did the great Uchiha just [pant] admit I'm good?" I grinned

"No shut up." He frowned while I laughed openly

"You're a loser. Stop laughing." Sasuke snapped

I smiled at him, "You can't admit it when I'm good huh? Takes a lot right? You want to be on top because you need to know if you're strong. And you to need to know because of your "goal". Yes I know who it is and why." I close my eyes and wait for him to berate me, to get up and leave, to get mad.

Yet it was met with silence.

I looked at him and he was staring at me steadily.

"What?" I ask

"You're seem to understand... Hn. Whatever. Bye I'm leaving." Sasuke got up and walked
away.

"Hm stubborn boy," I muttered then yelled "Hey! Next time it won't be a tie!"

"Yes. I'll win next time." Sasuke turned his head slightly and had a small smile on it.

"As if!" I shouted and got to run up to him and argued with him the whole way back....

I stopped walking and put a hand over my eyes. I had just realized something...something very very bad. I started running as fast as I could. I couldn't believe it. I need to move to clear my head.

"Ready to start practice?" I asked Sasuke who was retightening his shoe straps.

We had been meeting every Tuesday to practice. No one knew. It was just us.

"Yeah"

“Alright then here I come!” I started in on him throwing punches and chops and kicks where I could.

Sasuke of course blocked them all. Nothing unusual.

He brought his fist back in a swing to my head and I bent backward to avoid it. He kicked his legs under my legs. I fell to the ground landing on my butt with Sasuke standing over me.

“Screw you Uchiha.” I told him rubbing my backside.

He just looked at me. I could tell he was thinking.

“What’s on your mind Sasuke, you know other than that hair of yours.” I joked

“Nothing a loser should be concerned about.” Sasuke snapped

“Depends, if you think I’m a loser. Well?” I asked him. I expected him to promptly say yes, to say that I was the biggest loser on this planet. But he said nothing.

He finally spoke but it was so quiet I could hear him. His face was red.

“What was that?”

“I… forget it. Why should I say it?”

“Because you said it before. And I want to hear you clearly.”

“…Idiot,” He pulled me up and into his arms and held tight.

“….Sasuke what the heck?”

“I like you… (Name).” Then he pushed me away and placed a hand over his eyes. His face
was all red.

“….Idiot, jerk, proud, smug, vain, overly confidant…. I used to think that about you whenever I saw you. But now….I don’t know what to think.” I placed a hand to my eyes.

“I think I like you too Sasuke.”

His head shot up. And his face cleared. For a small moment of about a second I saw a true smile on his face. Then it was gone.

I was in love with Sasuke Uchiha. Perhaps I still am...

"(Name) what do you think?" Shikamaru asked me.
We had all met to discuss Sasuke. Ino was silent the entire time. Everyone else contributed a little. I didn't say a word though.

"..... I will say this: Sasuke is hatred and darkness. Naruto is love and lightness. And no matter how dark or how damp...darkness always yearns for light. Naruto and Sasuke are bound by a bond. For Sasuke it is hatred for Naruto it is friendship. And no matter what, friendship is stronger. Ever so much more stronger."

Shikamaru began to speak, "Even so, we can't let him go around and kill even more people, it's--"

"When did you forsake yourselves to this and Sasuke too? Why does it need to come to this?" I turned and began to walk away, "I will take no part in your plot. The only person who can kill or bring Sasuke back is Naruto. You seem to forget that."

"What a dreamer." I heard Kiba mutter

"Yes I am a dreamer. I have a dream where Sasuke comes back and Naruto with him. I am no fool. I know that is unlikely to happen. But that won't stop me from doing everything in my power to make it a reality."

Sasuke you idiot. You see what you have me saying? I'm going soft. Bakayaro. I love you. Even though I know you're not the same boy I fell for all those years ago. Hm. I hate the fact that I can’t let you go.

“So you’re leaving?” I asked him I stood in front of him just outside the village.

“Yes. And you can’t stop me.”

“You mean you don’t want me to stop you. Sasuke I know you better than anybody. All you want is the power to kill Itachi-”

“DON’T SAY HIS NAME!” Sasuke hissed at me.

“I can and will. You can gain power here too. Orochimaru gain his power here, Tsunade got her power here! Master Jiriaya got his power here! You can gain more if you stay idiot.” I growled at him

“Why do you care so much (Name)? I thought you of all people would understand!” Sasuke ran a hand through his hair in annoyance.

“Because…well I like you and you like me. You told me so and I told you so. And that isn’t going to change. So I’m here to tell you that there’s another option. If you don’t see it then you can leave. I won’t stop you.” I bowed my head because I felt tears pricking my eyes. I didn’t want him to see weakness.

“I’m leaving.” I raised my head and watched him walk away.

“Goodbye…” I muttered and in a blur of moment he was in front of me. So close that I could see his pupils in his dark eyes.

“(Name) thank you. Goodbye.” I felt a small pressure on my lips then he struck me on the head and I fell emotionless. I realized a split-second before everything went black that he had knocked me out…
