Description
I drew this picture of Rocket Raccoon for the Daily Sketch Challenge [link]He's a rare example of Marvel doing an anthro character, plus it's actually an in-continuity concept (Hulk appeared in his miniseries, and he is part of Marvel's space-faring team, the Guardians of the Galaxy), demonstrating how diverse and flexible Marvel can be, when they aren't busy pandering to the lowest common denominator.
Anyways, I thought this turned out well, considering I rarely do anthro stuff... I'm not really sure how long I took, because I fell asleep while I was drawing it. Oh well...
enjoy!

Really? Was it Artjumble? That's probably the most popular blog I contribute to. But then again, it's easy for fan art to go viral.
Anyways, I'm glad you like it!

I didn't know they had a Rocket Raccoon.
I agree, I think this came very well. I've never really seen you do anthro stuff before; I had just assumed that you were already used to it by this drawing.

yep. Rocket Raccoon had his own miniseries in the eighties, and has recently become popular as part of the Guardians of the Galaxy.
I draw animals sometimes, but rarely this way. On DA, because of the heavy influence of manga, I've seen lots of really great anthro artists... I'm a rookie compared to those guys!
But yeah, I'm very happy with the way this came out.

Haha, that's cute. Rocket Raccoon.
I can't stand anthro for some reason. I don't know why. Maybe it's because a lot of them are kinda of weird. I don't know.

yeah, they tend to be pretty pervy. I have read a couple that I liked. I never saw myself doing any though, until recently. I have an idea for a comic from the animals' perspective... not really anthro (or pervy ), more realistic animals that can talk to each other and certain humans who can hear them.

Exactly. There's too many pervs that ruin it for all the other ones.
Oh neat!
