I'm propably, like, the 500th person to say this, but it won't hurt to say it once more.
Amazing job, absolutely brilliant! I love the translucent wave, and how the light of Pharos lits up the sky and blends in to the clouds, and how the lighthouse itself literally towers over us, making it look dooming and deathly instead of the saving grace of sailors. The sky is a beautiful, it has that realistic, almost photographic curve to it, and the lines of the ship are eye capturing and simply magnificent. Even that wave that reflects the light... wow. I bloody love this, can't stop looking at it.

This is utterly stunning - the perspective truly makes me feel as if I too am rocking and falling along with the boat. Also, the fact that the sky seems to show the curvature of the Earth gives a real sense of enclosure that increases the feeling of claustrophobia that can come with being on a ship, contrasting dramatically with the open plains of the sky and the beam of light from the Pharos. Your use of colour is fantastic, and the sheer detail in this is extraordinary. I absolutely adore it, and it's a very well deserved DD. Congratulations!

Fantastic dipiction of one of the 7 wonders! A huge, famous structure, that lasted for centuries, yet what it actually looked like is highly debatable. How ephemeral our reality and all within it can be!
The pic is epic! The lighthouse itself is doing its job, very well for its era. But it's height is dizzying--indeed so much of the pic is! The lighthouse and the sails of the ship seem to be curved in distortion? Makes one feel he is seeing something bigger than life! Love the roiling sea and somewhat mirrored sky and clouds, the vertical lighthouse sort of linking the two together? That ancient ship, the sunlit wave and the spray against the hull are wonderful!
