And the photo tour sorta begins.The first thing that caught the eye, besides the two old coaches and the train that had just left, was this here engine #3, an H.K. Porter, all American 0-4-0T tank engine, being the third locomotive acquired by the CC&V line.
It was not running the day we went. Instead #1 and #2 were quite busy moving along the line...

What's amazing is that not one of this railroad's engines isn't completely unique and awesome. This little Porter has such classic lines. And yet the piston valves suggest a relatively recent build date. O.o

Yes Yes. I was glad to discover it to be of American design, cause it looked too Bulky to be european.
Both #1, the 0-4-4-0, and #2, the Tender 0-4-0, actually worked at the same mines in Mexico. Literal stablemates, still together in modern day.
