I was actually fooled when I looked at the thumbnail, Great job.Β
I have an LGB Stainz locomotive, in three to four inch snow in some images, stored on my phone.
I also have a drawing inspired by it in my gallery.

One thing that is remarkable is the serious weatherproofing of LGB's trains. Though I'll never leave them in the rain because that's just plain mistreatment, I'm not afraid to have them operate in the snow.
Upon bringing inside, they're dried and oiled if need be. Can't have rust and decay on my equipment now.

Well-done on the setting and depth-of-field! Some people would hardly be able to tell if it's the real thing or the model, I'll bet!
Would be interesting to see this in B/W or sepia-tone with some weathering for effect...

I thought about doing black and white, maybe sepia just to see what it looked like. Something about being able to see it in clear color among the bleak atmosphere makes it worthwhile though.

It does indeed.
How about this: sepiatone it and turn it into part of an old newspaper ad?

This is an awesome image. I love how the snow is dusting on the car roofs and locomotive. Tons of props to you kind sir, you need an award for this awesome little railroad.

Dah. The best reward would be visitors, after a bit more trackwork and some buildings are placed. Wouldn't mind more people seeing the line, to be honest. XD

Oh sure, understandable. You should host an open house once the whole layout is completed.
