Story:

Adam tried to recall what Emily had said to him the nigh before.... but now that it was all so close.. it was hard. He brushed Drava down and got her mane braided nicely. Tacking her up as he made sure everything fit perfectly. He hoped he wasn't the only one feeling this nervous.
It was so odd to be at a show so close to home.. he really felt like he had to up his game and represent Canada. Despite living at a stable here in Canada it was actually rare for them to compete in Canada at such a large scale show. He really wanted to put his all into it.

He just had to be the first to sign up for this class... he was nervous as hell but now having to be the first one to run it... not even getting a change to see another rider go.. Sure he walked the course but still.. In the warm up ring Drava could for sure feel the tension from him. She was a sweet mare that would never really act up but.. he needed that nudge. Adam was lots in his own head, Drava took the opportunity to give him a little buck. Adam fell forward onto her neck letting out a small grumble. "Ya.. ok ok i get it thanks.." He mumbled as he pet her neck. They were called... He turned Drava to the path that led to the arena.

They stood at the gate looking out over the course. Drava really took it in.. she was ready for this.. she loved jumping. The trotted around the ring close to the start jump... waiting for that signal to go. It felt like it was taking ages. Just let them go.. let them get this over with. Drava felt it.. she nickered softly, wanting him to just enjoy this and not worry so much. It took him a moment to look down at her, realizing again of course she was right. "Sorry girl.. again.. your right.. its just you and me.. now.. lets do this." He whispered. The buzzer rang. They were off to the first jump. They could do this. Hitting that first jump it gave Drava such joy. Adam even had to slower her to the next jump she just wanted to jump and jump. It just gave her so so much joy to be jumping with her partner.

He didn't want to focus on if they knocked a rail or not. He just wanted to ride this course with his mare. She was so responsive it was like they have competed for years int he biggest shows. Emily was right, trust in your self and your partner and its like everything else fades away around you. Your worries your fears, none of that matters. Once they were finished Adam leaned over and hugged her neck. First, fifth, last... it didn't matter. They just had a great time. Adam was almost sad it was over.. that was till it all wore off and he started to wonder how they did really. Drave just happily nudged him, that was all she wanted.

Commentary
================

    Information about the rider
24 year old Adam Harper as been riding since he was young but hasn't really taken it to the extreme till joining Rhed Moon stables. He has competed before but this is by far the biggest show hes entered. But this is a big step hes taking in hopes to continue to compete more for this stable.

Parents and/or notable ancestors of the horse
Drava's parents are RPS Beast and RPS Salzach, for any wild caught obers out there they might remember Salzach fast on there heels.

    Breeder of the horse
Bred RPS as a request from the obertaurer group for Little creek Stables and was past around till ending up at RM for her forever home.

    Anything interesting about your pair
The two of them kinda just clicked. It took a bit for Drava to settle into her new home but once she realized this was the final stop she really embraced it. Bonding with Adam nicely.

Which obstacle would they have most trouble with (you can refer to the course map and provide a number and explanation)
Drava has a bit of trouble with combinations she loves to jump but sometimes her stride can mislead her. Adam really has to remember to stay focused on the combos

How do horse and rider work together
Adam is very trusting in Drava, hes very loose on the reins only giving her the guidance to which jump is next.

Anything special about the horses or riders jumping style
There still really coming into there own but one can tell Drava almost smiles with each leap.

Note on the jump, I designed the wall type jump based on one of my fav buildings in TO its the Canadian Broadcasting center which is right near the tower. i took a course there once and its just such a cool looking building.
