I love these stupid monsters. I was thinking about how "no bulette voluntarily consumes elf flesh", And even though they're also described as attacking elves on sight, I thought that the not eating them was something that I could work with.So here we have a Bulette Rider, elven heavy cavalry who essentially just run rough-shod over even the most powerful of opponents. I really liked the idea of a graceful, slender elf traipsing about on a crazy, lumbering monstrosity that is about the furthest thing possible from the descriptor of "graceful".
I should learn to background, f'rills.

D'aaawww its kinda cute. It sorta looks like it's smiling to. "Who's a happy Bulette, who's a good boy? You Are!" 
This would be a cool MOC to make if I had the right parts.

Oh definitely. I post all my MOCs to DA.
Unfortunately I have more ideas than I do parts to build them. I keep my MOCs together for the most part, so I don't recycle parts when I build something new I'm satisfied with. They stay tied up in that MOC forever.

This is really cool!
I ran a DnD 3.x campaign a number of years ago where illithid rode the back of charmed bulettes, flicking soulknife blades and mindblasting the PC's away from their base... what cool creaturesΒ Love Bulettes!

Although, the thought of an Illithid riding a Bulette is enough to make me quit the Underdark forever.

With good reason! Sounds like it would have been a blast to run. I've never been involved in anything above 20th before. I ran the "Savage Tides" campaign for my group (1st-20th), and we wanted to take it a little further, but we were a bit shaky on the best way to handle that high of a level.
Illithids on Bulettes sound like a good start.
