Description This is a piece done for my major individual project for uni- an artisitc and aesthetic makeover for the original Quake, based heavily on H. P. Lovecraft's Cthulhu mythos.

In several areas of the proposed game, the corrupting nature of the Slipgates have weakened the fabric of our universe, allowing bizarre and alien dimensions to impose upon ours.

This is the Maw- the nightmare world of the Vores. A labyrinth set of tubes that look suspiciously like the insides of a giant creature. Long worms or tongues slide through the realm, and can be ridden around on. The gravity is omni-directional, meaning you can walk around on any surface- ala the low gravity sections of Dead Space. Curved spines grow in areas, looking much like teeth.

This is by far the weirdest levels in the game, and hopefully one of the most memorable.
