Some time ago I was commissioned to create a modified version of the Star Trek ship USS Nova.Related content

The main problem with this design was 1) there aren't enough berths for a crew of 80, and 2) there are far too few science labs for a science vessel!
I redesigned the whole thing!

Eh, I'd rather see a Supernova-class (a ship shaped like a Nova-class that's as long and half as big as a Galaxy-class).

Shouldn't have put the shuttle bay up front.
Aft, the shuttle can enter the bay when the ship is underway.
Forwards--the risk of collision is too high--the Nova would have to stop, to safely take the shuttle aboard.

Actually the shuttlebay is aft. What you can see at the front is the Captain's Waverider Shuttle which fits into a special recess at the bottom of the main hull.

Having just done a comparison apart from a changes to the colour scheme, Font style, the symbol chart below Deck 4 and the red hatching within the turbo-shafts, internally it looks identical to the Nova set of deck plans released by Strategic Design back in 2006.
Though Strategic Design shut down back in 2010 a copy of the deck plans can be found on the Cygnus-x1 website, link below;

The commission was completed more or less two years ago, I cannot remember where the changes are.

Just came across this, I like your cleaned up version, the colors contrast better, the font and other changes are an improvement to me, makes it easier on the eye.
Even if everything is essentially the same, some glaring problems have been fixed (tables in officers quarters being on top of wall edges and/or furniture from being crammed so close together).
All in all I'd say it cleans things up, makes it more neat and better visually.
A holosuite thrown in would make the original design itself better, but that's a personal criticism of the original plans and not your work.
