Uh oh shading white is always a challenge but you pulled it through very well. The picture has an overall "holy" feeling.
Nice salt patterns too

Oh, I love the salt effect! I used to do a lot of watercolor, and I just stopped doing it one day for some reason. You make me want to start painting again!

How do you paint with salt? I don't think I've ever heard of that before.

Saraais In reply to Ihniwid [2014-02-12 21:24:33 +0000 UTC]
exactly! It's not painting with salt but rather to use it to create interesting effects

It's what's used in the background, giving it that "flowery" effect.
Salt on damp watercolors will do something with the paint's pigment, making those pretty little spots ;v;

Beautiful! The eyes make the piece.
I like how the horns have a spiraling texture. It makes her look more elegant.

Hang on, you used salt? I STILL haven't been able to get a good result from that! What's the secret?
π: 0 β©: 1
Saraais In reply to FalconFate [2014-02-11 23:32:38 +0000 UTC]
heh well I haven't the slightest idea
I just tried it out once more and it kind of worked. It took some time until you can see a result and you have to use big salt crystals, but other than that I can give no advice, sry (:
