April 08 2017:Β Almost three years since my last update. Polished a few things up that I've learned better over the years; it's not a mandatory upgrade, but if you've had any issues at all with this installing or working properly, please try out this new version and let me know how it goes! Jan 06 2012: I realized after a long long time that there was some naming in the font that was left over from the template! Oops... I fixed this error and updated some internal issues that may have kept the font from working on some machines. Sorry to anyone who may or may not have had issues with this font working properly in the past!
What better way to represent the language of a watery folk, but with rounded characters. the concept of water and bubbles was my inspiration for this alphabet.
It's a bummer you never really see the Zoran text in Majora's Mask, so I didn't get anything but my crazy ideas to help this alphabet into creation. This is a fan alphabet, and the only Zoran alphabet there is!
The zip file contains the .ttf and a pdf mapping chart for the letters. If anything isn't clear, please let me know.
Note:
This font is free for personal use. If you plan to use this alphabet in fanart, fan-fiction, tell your friends about it, use it in print work, you get the point... I expect credit.
If you're unsure whether or not I would allow for any specific reason, please contact me beforehand.
Please do not host this font on any site without my direct permission!

I use Mac and installed it straight into Font Book! <: It's seems im not the only one as others have compiled a chart with the associated letters for this font and left out the Q.

Have you tried typing q anyway, even if it's not showing up in the chart?
Since the alphabet doesn't "really" have q, it has no glyph of it's own in the font's internals- It is however mapped to the same glyph as k.
See if it works for me? If that's what's going on... what about x? Is it showing up in the chart?Β

If you have any imaging, graphics or text program that lets you pick which font; once you unzip and install the font file, it will appear in the drop list of those programs and you can use it to write with. :3

Hey, I have to create a language for my end of semester project in a linguistics course I'm taking this semester and I was going to make a Zoran-Hylian Creole based on what I've read by different fan produced takes on the Hylian language and my own imagination of the water tribe. Would you mind if I used your font (giving due credit of course)? Also, I was wondering if you had any thoughts on possibly some Zora specific grammar they might have given their culture?Β

I haven't really thought much about language related stuff past the alphabets except for my take on Hylian, and a bit of Sheikah related work... though I always figured a Zoran language to sound a bit like French but with more o's I suppose? It's hard to explain since I've never really worked on any vocabulary or grammar. Sorry! But I would love to hear your ideas when you've gotten your project done. :3

Well, there is the pdf that's included with the font if you just need to know which is which without having to type the characters in.
ButΒ I'm actually going to be making transparent png files for all of my fonts soon for people who have issues with the fonts (or just want to use them as reference material), such as mac users who can't install them.. I'll of course include which characters mean what in the files when I get them done and uploaded. :3

I made it for the OoT era before I knew there WAS a Gerudo alphabet.. so my creation could be more considered an ancient script, or a newer one. I'm personally inclined to re-associate it with being older than the official "Gerudo Typography". So there you go. ^~

i have a mac, and whenever i try to download some of the fonts - which are AWESOME by the way! - like this Zora one, the goron font, and the gerudo font, they won't work for me

I'm really sorry, I'm not sure why it doesn't work.
When I get some more time I'll see if I can look into it further, see if I can find anything that's not set right, but I looked at the font file briefly and didn't see anything wrong. :/
