Description
Wip of a ref sheet for my thesis.EDIT: Thought it was about time for an Osh blurb!
Osh is a young adult Zenn from pre Citystate history when the Zenn were still small bands of nomads with limited contact with one another. They were abandoned as a youngster, left to fend for themselves due to the increasingly apparent affects of the bone disorder they have that affected the growth of their left arm and parts of their spine and hip. Needless to say they managed to survive to adulthood alone.Β

I love his royal bearing, full of dignity, and what a gorgeous fur, to be hugged in his arms must be snug.

I find the entire body plan very interesting, they really look like they would be at home both on two and four legs, moving and climbing. Β The thick tail looks like it would be a fantastic balancer, and the long torso looks very flexible. I'm such a big fan of these guys.

Exactly! You're spot on Glad that reflects in the design so well. They actually have difficulty sprinting for long distances and move mostly in a way that resembles parkour. Lots of climbing and mixed movements. Their city streets are set up for that even.Β

And now you've made them super fluffy! Haha, the info about the bone disorder is really interesting. He must be at least a little cunning to have survived?

They've always been, I just rarely draw them that way A lot of modern zenn actually use medications to keep their pelts short for the aesthetic.
Cunning yes but while the effect it's had on their bones causes a little discomfort and weakness in places its not as though the affect limbs/parts of their body are useless. They are still fairly capable. Surviving ALONE takes cunning and resilience even for able bodied Zenn and is generally unheard of.Β

Oh, that's interesting. Β Is the climate of Zennhome cooler than earth, or the area that the zenn in habit tending towards cooler?
I look forward to hearing more about Osh then, they sound pretty remarkable (:

Much much colder Sections of some cities are thermally regulated because of it. 45F is really hot for them and generally only seen towards the equator or in geothermally active areas.Β

Typical temps are an average of -50F but go as low as -270F in places

That's very cold. I imagine life initially tended to evolve and live in the warmer parts?

Yup! Geothermally active areas, oceans too. A lot of the plant life evolved ways to generate their own heat.

I think the thing I'm most looking forward to is how the Zenn reproduce, what with that 3-sex system you've mentioned. Have you figured it out yet or is it still in the brainstorming stage?

I'm still working on the specifics but I have a general idea of how it works Gonna keep that secret until I've got a good ref done for it though.Β

This is my species that call themselves Zenn. You can find all my currently released information on them in this folderΒ silvac.deviantart.com/gallery/β¦
Most of the text based information is towards the bottom of the first page right now. It's a little dated, but still fairly accurate.
