Description
i've had a bunch of people ask me how to do this (possibly because i use the halftone effect so freaking much), so i figured i'd make a simple tutorial explaining it so i don't keep having to. then i added some sashas to amuse myself. hopefully it is big enough to be readable.hope this helps. i use Photoshop CS, but from my experience with CS2 and 3 it's pretty much the same.
blahblah sasha's mine, she was made w/ microns, but most everything is alllll photoshop.

Hey, they're digitally painted (even if in flats). I guess I should say graphic art or drawing then if you don't like the term though, sorry.
I was just wondering how you changed the halftone for different orientations.. but I guess you can just use a different gradient

someone should pay you lots of monies for sasha to make a tutorial about "everything for everyone." including the blind, deaf, and catatonic. that style of yours is addictive.

yeah, it's certainly a behemoth task.. i wonder if getting a dollar for every subject covered would be incentive enuff... or maybe a dollar for every sasha drawn... maybe euros instead... :: ponders pointlessly::

Awesome tutorial, worked like a charm, but the more I did it the more it started not working.
I tried to turn a circular gradient into a halftone and it just stayed as a gradient...
Then it started doing that for the basic gradient.
No idea why, I'm sure I'll figure it out.

change the top most number, you might have it too low. try a higher number.

most tricks in photoshop end up being ridiculously simple once you know them. it's just finding them out. 8-8

Chibi Sasha is incredibly cute.
This should also work in Photoshop 4 for those of us that lack a newer version of the application. I have had lots of fun with the various layer-stacking effects. I don't currently have a version older than that available for testing.

Is it bad that I'm more amused with the chibi Sashas than the tutorial itself?
