This was a bad idea... A REALLY bad idea! thought a panicked Shinx, running through the pitch dark forest, only guided by the sparks from his tail. What was he thinking?! Running away! Now that he actually had time to think about it, this was nuts! He stopped, looking around, his eyes wavering. "Somebody... Anybody!?" he yelled. He waited, but only an unexpected response awaited him.

Something wrapped around his leg and pulled him down, sliding him across the ground. A scarred up Roselia stepped forward, a vine coming from it's flower.

Looking up at it, the Shinx really wanted to 'turn off' his tail. The dim lighting only succeeded in making his assailant scary, rather than give him an idea of his situation. The Roselia smirked and held up it's free rose, "Ya know kid, yellin out ain't always ta best ya could do in ya sitiation."

The Shinx gave no answer, he only looked at the Pokemon he usually thought of as docile in terror.

"Ah com' on, kid! Speak ya mind, while itsa still workin!" the Roselia shouted, planting it's pointy foot on the Shinx's back, "Ya name! Tell me ya name!"

No answer...

The Roselia's smirk was starting to fade away. This kid was really boring... He wasn't saying a thing! "Tsk... ya as stubbon as a Tauros... Surely no onesa gonna miss ya!" it shouted and shot out a thorned vine, aimed in between the Shinx's eyes.

The Shinx shut his eyes tightly, his body shivering all over... But nothing ever came. He opened an eye and saw no vine, even the Roselia was missing. All he heard was gasping, some curses, and then the sounds of running. It's times like these he wished his tail was brighter... What if there was another Pokemon who was going to make him dinner? A bigger, scarier Pokemon!...

"Are you ok?" came a voice, but the Shinx couldn't place it.

The Shinx lifted himself up, glancing around. He placed his paw on a trunk he could barely see for support. "Wh-who's there?" he asked with false bravado.
