oh wait found something else than velours paper and cheaper too and does this technique also work on soft pastels

I can understand why. The paper you use means so much for a drawing/painting. And I just love soft pastels. You should try the pastel pencils to.

oo pastel pencils ^^ i will look for them too.It so good to have birthday money because then i can buy what i need ^^ .Yeah paper is very important (i learned that the hard way XD)

Great tutorial and drawing, the shading techniqu here is really helpful.
Just one tiny question, (this is kindof random sorry) What is the difference between oil pastels and regular ones?

Well, oil pastels are "greesy" and have some binding solution in them to make them that greesy. whereas soft pastels are almost pure pigment with only a small amount of binders in them. They are the "purest" in pigments of all art material, as they are basecally pure pigment. I hope that explains it.

Oooooooo if you have any more tutorials on pastels, especially on velour, then you should DEFINITELY translate them. I would love to read it and save it! I'm going to be ordering a complete set of Creatacolor pastel pencils next month, so I will most definitely be using your tuts. Thank you for taking the time to write them.

hm....the last one I've got is the Potter tutorial, but maybe I'll make some more in the future. I proberly can't help myself, I've got SOOO many wip's laying around my computer of all the drawings I've made, anything speciel you would like to see a tut about?. I can't promis you that I've got wip's on everything but maybe I can put something together.
uhh....your going to have to tell me how those pastels are!!! Please!!!
