this is extremely helpful; could i ask what your brush details are for photoshop, such as the brush, mode, opacity, flow, and softness? hope you don't mind

I use 100 % flow. Softness is on the standart photoshop goes with, and opacety changes for place to place. usually I go with 100 % for the basic layer, and when making the soft transitions between tones I use about 20 - 30 % opacity. Hope that answers your question.
