Ahhhh what I can say about this pic? Well, I was going through and rereading all the manga chapters that take place after the anime ended just to refresh my memory about what all happened and what all else we can anticipate to see animated that I had forgotten and of course came across the Hell arc while reading. I remember the first time I read those chapters I just criiiiiiied. It was soooo sad. Well, with the new anime my Inuyasha fangirl has kicked in, especially Sess fangirl mode. Anywho, I decided to draw the images from the Hell arc along with adding in a few quotes. These are the pages I drew this from:[link]

The first page, down in the lefthand corner where you can't see Sesshoumaru's face and he's looking down at Rin, that is my main image in this drawing but I decided to draw it with the expression I felt he would have while looking down at little Rin. The top two images are of Rin laying against his fur and then of course his anguish face in that 2nd page. I also did the Hell background on how I pictured it while going through the pages. Mixtures of blacks, purples and reds and I remember seeing some star-like spots so I added those too. Sad, isn't it? ;_; Sorry for anybody who I may have spoiled.
It was not my intentions! Anyway, I can't WAIT to see this animated! x3 Hope you guys enjoy a bit of angst. It's been awhile since I'd done any and yesterday when I sketched this I was feeling quite miserable. Anyway, enjoy!

Oh I did too and I cried when I read it in the manga the first time lol. It's a great scene, and the first time we really get to see our aloof and indifferent Sesshoumaru really express some sort of real emotion. Thank you so much!!

It's speculated that he is actually crying, he's just hiding it. I suppose we'll see how it turns out in the anime! =O

I haven't seen the new anime yet. In the old one, I saw Sesshy go "full demon" only once and that was enough. He looked scarier than Inuyasha did!

They've got two episodes up. The only time I can ever recall Sessh going into full demon mode was in his and Inuyasha's father's gravesite (except for once in the manga he turned into his full demon (giant dog) form to meet his mother. There have been times his eyes have gone red and he bares his fangs and starts growling. Yeah, he's pretty damn scary. This is an actual series of scenes from particular chapters in the manga though and has not yet been animated. It probably will be in about a month though.

What I was saying is that I found Sesshomaru to be such an ass earlier on that I wished Inuyasha would chop off his other arm. It wasn't until this arc that I stopped wishing him bodily harm.

LOL Well that was actually very early in the story. Also, you noticed that Sess didn't really use his full power when it came to fighting Inuyasha. He also fought Inuyasha AFTER this arc. Regardless of how he acts on the outside, deep down he doesn't want to kill his little brother because it's just not in his nature to do so no matter how much Sess denies and says he wants to kill his half-brother. He's just like his father and when he revived Rin that began the change in his character and in his heart.

D'awww it's so pretty! I can't wait for the animation either. I know i was trying so hard not to cry during that scene....whether Sesshmomaru wants to admit it or not, he truly is like his father
