Hi! I found this tutorial while I was trying to help a friend understand manips. I was wondering if I could use it on my tutorial blog here [link] (with full credit to you, of course). I think it's a funny, great tutorial for the very basics of layers. I could either copy it, upload it to my own host and post it, making it obvious that you are the author, or I could just give a link to it. I wanted to ask your permission first, though.

I'm still having trouble with the layers.. for some reason, even after following several times step by step, it won't show up when I start coloring... It'll show on the 'skin' layer icon, but not on the picture itself..

I has a problem D:
I sometimes try to put a background picture (like wild flowers,ghosts whatever u know photographs and stuff) but it messes up my picture DDDD;
Can you give me any help?

You mean when you merge your layers

Don't merge your layers. When you go to save it gimp well tell you that jpg or png (whatever you use) can't handle layers, and it well ask if you want to flatten image or merge visible layers. Just click ok (from what I've seen it doesn't really matter which option you choose)
That should do the trick.

Because if you set you lineart to multply with out on you won't have a background.
