because i always see tutorials about making the art or doing effects on the art, but rarely about how to use the program itself.

please forgive the large size, but i wanted this to be thorough, detailed, and step-by-step. this is meant to be a tutorial for those who are just beginning to use openCanvas (or who have been using it but would like to learn more), so be aware that it is aimed at people who have no openCanvas knowledge.

this is part one of the Pen Window tutorials i'm going to make. there will be a tutorial for each of the other 7 pens soon, a brief spiel on manipulating the various color control tabs, a layer blending effects tutorial, and then a basic tips tutorial (including how to resize, how to center, and how to get better with basic tools like Crop).
