Since I had submitted my MLP FIM OC: Emerald Dream which was named after the World of Warcraft Emerald Dream, it was suggested to me to create a counter Emerald Nightmare. With "Nightmare" in the name, I immediatly thought of the "Nightmare Moon" transformation, and structured the body type. Her white body has darkened to a deep gray and has the Nightmare-ish eyes. Emerald Dream is an Earth Pony, so she has no special adornments like a princess, but then again, as the living embodiment of twisted thoughts and fears of sleeping beings' subconscious minds she doesn't need to dress for the part. She would taint the dreams that Princess Luna guards over, terrorizing the sleeping ponies with whispers of failure, doubt, madness and taunts causing ponies to abandon their dreams. She never utters a word...but a passing glance will fill your head with whispers and voices...

I was playing with various effects with the mane and tail. Originally, I wanted to get it to look like the Emerald Portals in WoW, like this: vignette1.wikia.nocookie.net/w… but it turned out to look more fiery and smokey. I kinda like it. I gave no end to her mane because the nightmare spreads to corrupt all who are swept up by it. I might change it since something like that would be...probably very OP as a bad guy trait.

Her cutie mark has changed as well. The emerald heart has darkened and cracked, and the gold strands have warped into the Plunder Vines, crooked and thorned.

This is still a WIP. I may finish it, but I was mostly just playing with the idea. Maybe I'll finish it if others like it too. I'd like to get more feedback, it other viewers will leave their comments.
