Story:
Early morning found Lucifer yawning as he braided Kelpo’s mane for their stadium jumping round. He was thankful they weren’t in the first of the round to perform so he had some more time to fully wake up. The stallion leaned his head on the other as his mane was carefully braided. Next came the event saddle pad, fluffy half pad then the saddle. Lucifer then slipped on the breast collar then the bridle. He led the stallion out to the warm up arena, coughing slightly from all of the red dust in the air. It reminded him of Sedona back in the US with it’s similar cloying red dust that somehow got on everything. The tack would need a thorough wash after the round, that was for sure…

He carefully climbed on and started their warmup with some rounds of flatwork before cantering off to one of the verticals in the middle of the arena. Kelpo clunkily jumped over it, clearly showing he was just as awake as his rider was. They continued for a little longer until they felt more with it for their competition round. Their name was called over the intercom and they trotted into the main arena, red dust flying up with every hoof fall. The pair headed off to the first jump, a vertical with eucalyptus plants at the jump’s wings. Here’s to the finale of the championships series!
