Story:
   Lucifer led Escalade out of the stall and out to the grooming bay. “Today’s a big day.. Free jumping..” He said softly as he lovingly grew out her coat. The mare nickered excitedly, her tail swishing lightly as she stood in the crossties. Escada’s second foal had grown up quickly yet into her own. Lucifer was relieved that she showed more of a predisposition towards jumping over her mother’s dressage background. He loved Escada to death however his interests always leaned more to the thrills of jumping vs the monotonous perfection that came with the upper levels of dressage. The angel bent down and strapped on jumping boots before putting the bridle onto Escalade. He walked out with her walking at a slow pace with the lanky three year old politely following afterwards.
    “#69, Lucifer Archangel presenting Escadron Volant” the loudspeaker announced as Lucifer led the mare into the arena. “Show them what you got” he said softly to her as he unclipped the reins and flapped them to send her off on her way. The first round she cantered off and down the chute. She sailed through the line and the jumps were raised. Lucifer followed pace with her, finding himself more and more relieved that she navigated the jumps with ease and the underlying power needed for a good foundation in upper level stadium jumping. Man, was he grateful for such a promising mare.
