Known issues

Overlay Scrollbars cause black areas to appear at various places in Ubuntu.

To disable overlay scrollbars, run the following command,

gsettings set com.canonical.desktop.interface scrollbar-mode normal

To fix the small font issue in LibreOffice Calc sheet tabs, create a file .gtkrc-libreoffice in your home folder with the following content,

style "libreoffice-scrollbar" {
GtkScrollbar::trough-border = 3
}

widget_class "*" style "libreoffice-scrollbar"

Then launch libreoffice with the following command,

GTK2_RC_FILES=$HOME/.gtkrc-libreoffice libreoffice

Older versions

If you are using GTK3.12, please download the theme from GitHub

If you are using GTK3.4, please download the theme from Launchpad

I would like to support LXDM. But I myself don't use LXDE. So if someone could contribute, it will be nice.

People use lxdm as a stand alone logging manager. What login manager do you use?

I use Gnome, hence GDM (Gnome cannot work properly without GDM).

Awesome theme, using it since 1.3 or so. To me there's nothing like it!
But i have a curious problem i couldn't find a solution to.

I used to be able to change the highlight color of Numix (currently 2.1+237~201401070027~ubuntu13.10.1) with your < a href="github.com/satya164/gtk-theme-… ">GTK-Theme-Config tool.
Running Linux Mint 16 with the Unico engine version 1.0.3daily13.05.30-0ubuntu1, now when i try to set different highlight colors, i get a mixed result:
Apps like file-roller, gThumb or nemo display the new color set with GTK Config,
apps like firefox, thunderbird, gpick or inkscape show the default red one.
Any ideas why?
I tried to change the colors in che gtk.css in the gtk3 folder but to no avail.
Do these apps read gtk-configs differently?

Thanks in advance

satya164 In reply to BigShift [2014-01-13 18:32:30 +0000 UTC]

Hmm... Those apps use GTK2. Something must have changed in Linux Mint. Try deleting the .gtkrc file in your home folder.

thanks, but that didn't help
maybe i can find out if something changed in Linux Mints GTK2 management. The Engine is Murrine btw. (0.98.2-0ubuntu).
Got any other ideas?

Thanks for helping!

BigShift In reply to satya164 [2014-02-14 15:59:32 +0000 UTC]

Hey, i just thought i'd let you know:
I managed to manually change the colors in the .gtkrc-file in the gtk2 folder of /usr/share/themes/numix. seems that either gtk-theme-config could not sucessfully override those settings via the config file in home or linux mint somehow doesnt read that file.

Again, Numix is one of the most beautiful themes i've seen

Hey, what colors do you recommend for the terminal?
Your theme is awesome by the way, one of the best and by far my favorite!

To have a Terminal with colors from Numix, check "Use colors from system theme" in settings.

You can set the bg to #2d2d2d and fg to #dcdcdc

Cpt-Teacup In reply to satya164 [2014-01-18 09:26:16 +0000 UTC]

Also, I noticed that you use #dcdcdc and #dedede in a lot of places, is one of those accidental? They are almost the same color.

satya164 In reply to Cpt-Teacup [2014-01-18 09:28:45 +0000 UTC]

I used them from beginning, so they are in a lot of places now. So I cannot change them now. So both of them are part of our color scheme

The lxpanel in LXDE seem to have issues under this theme, as well as firefox. It seems that the foreground text color is off (or something ...). Is there a fix?

Much thanks!
