Description
A square-ish shaped icon theme from the Numix Project and Joshua Fogg.The icon theme contains application icons and works best with the Numix icon theme .
If you have few bucks to spare, please purchase the icon theme to support the project and show that you appreciate the work and time spent into making the icon theme. Every dollar counts!
Here are proper instructions on how to request an icon .
Installation instructions
Ubuntu users can install Numix Square from our Ubuntu Software Center.
NOTE: The price in USC is higher due to it's minimum price limit of $2.99.
Manual installation
Extract the zip file to the icons directory i.e. /usr/share/icons/
Troubleshooting
If you have problems in applying the icon theme, try changing the permissions with the following command,
chmod -R 775 /usr/share/icons/Numix-Square

Just for the record, the number of the issue I mentioned is 101, "Aren't these icons inverted?".
I'd rather use the Circle theme, as it's maintained by the Numix Team. You rock, guys! Best themes out there ever!

Would you consider having a Numix Hexagon version that is not for Android? (so they can be bought here, not on Google Play). They look absolutely awesome and I think a lot of people would use them on their desktop, not just on mobile.

Yeah, I can reproduce the issue. Thought it was something to do with my system. Will have a look.

I can reproduce it as well, also with a bit more insight: when I apply only the Numix base theme (folders etc.) it works fine. Desktop icon gets borked only when using the Numix Square theme, so it might be something with inheritance.

Great theme! I have found an issue that I do not know how to fix (don't know enough about svg).
I am having an issue with rendering of the Chromium and Chrome icons in the square theme. All other icons appear to be working as expected. See the following screenshot:

It seems like the three sections outside of the circle are leaking outside of the bounds of the image canvas. This is a close up from Gwenview:

This is bugged in the Plasma Icon Tasks, Gwenview and Dolphin but renders correctly in Inkscape and Karbon.

Hi. This is a known issue and caused by KDE not supporting SVG clip property. We'll fix it soon.

The theme pack is good, however it is not fully compatible with KDE. I tested it out recently and some icons are square, some are circle and some are default instead of any icons at all.

They don't fully support KDE yet, though we are working to add more icons. Please missing icons you find github.com/numixproject/numix-… so that we'll be able to fully support KDE.

I'm running Gnome desktop on Antergos, with the Numix themes installed from the Antergos repos. I just noticed: Google Play Music and the Network Connections app are missing icons in the Gnome launcher, they're just blank.
Do you know how I can fix this? You've created icons for Google Play Music, right, and Network Connections is a standard app I think, so I guess something must be broken.

Re-install my system today, file-manager, disk, keyboard etc are not using the Numix-Square icons. Numix-icon-theme installed and "sudo gtk-update-icon-cache -f /usr/share/icons/Numix-Square" gives "gtk-update-icon-cache: The generated cache was invalid." error.

No, that's for making things executable. You have to do "chmod -R 775"

Hello, guys. It seems this new available package has not been updated correctly. For instance, some new icons such as ms-excel.svg, ms-onenote.svg, ms-outlook.svg, ms-powerpoint.svg and ms-word.svg, which were supposed to be in this new package, are missing. Also, the dates of all icons are the same (May 4th), which means no new icons, since that date, have been added to the package, apparently. Well, at least, that's what I've observed. Cheers.
