Description
A square-ish shaped icon theme from the Numix Project and Joshua Fogg.The icon theme contains application icons and works best with the Numix icon theme .
If you have few bucks to spare, please purchase the icon theme to support the project and show that you appreciate the work and time spent into making the icon theme. Every dollar counts!
Here are proper instructions on how to request an icon .
Installation instructions
Ubuntu users can install Numix Square from our Ubuntu Software Center.
NOTE: The price in USC is higher due to it's minimum price limit of $2.99.
Manual installation
Extract the zip file to the icons directory i.e. /usr/share/icons/
Troubleshooting
If you have problems in applying the icon theme, try changing the permissions with the following command,
chmod -R 775 /usr/share/icons/Numix-Square

Hey, guys.
I don't want to be annoying, so please don't get me wrong, but would you consider informing the date of the last update, somewhere on this page? I mean, as this is a theme which is constantly getting updated with new icons, we will often be downloading it to keep our icons updated on our computers. So if you could just tell us the date of the last update, it would be very nice. It could be something discrete, at the end of the description, below the "Extra Goodies" section, for example.
I know, me4oslav has already said that you will try to update it here on weekly basis, which is great; but, for us, if we had a date, it would be more precise because we would know whether or not we need to download it again.
Again, please don't get me wrong. It's just a suggestion.
Numix GTK Theme and Numix Square Icons are already my Ubuntu default themes. You guys are doing an extraordinary job. Keep it up!

Great theme! I just purchased! One question... do we file issues with the circle github repository? All my docx and xlsx files have the icons for odt and ods mimetypes.

The mimetypes belong to the base icon theme. For the app icons, you can file bugs on the circle themes repo.

I have a couple of questions, if you don't mind....
1) Is this theme as complete as the Circle one? Because version 11 of Circle has about 700 uniqe application icons. Is this Square theme the same?
2) As there's no PPA, how do we get updates? Do we always have to come here, download the ZIP file and extract it, overwriting the existing ones?

How often would you recommend me to download the theme again, to keep it updated here on my computer? I still have the Circle theme installed here, via PPA. Would you say I can download the Square theme every time I notice the Circle theme got updated or don't they follow the same release?

I bought this icon theme but its not working in ubuntu 14.04 i use unity-tweak-tool to change icon themes ,i've installed numix-icon-theme + utouch + circles but it still not working.

I would prefer an USC/PPA install because of the automatic updates, but I can't find it in the repos right now (I've searced for "numix" and "icons")

Hi Guys,
Mint 16 Cinnamon.
I've extracted the Numix-Square folder into usr/share/icons/, However when I try to set my icon theme to Numix-Square I just get the old school Gnome or original app icons.
I have the Numix Icon set installed and have been using it along with Numix-Circle without any problems.
Any advice to get Numix-Square working would be appreciated.

You have to have Numix-icon-theme installed for all the symbolics or your panel/etc. icons will fail. Numix-square inherits Numix-icon-theme just like Numix-circle does.
