Description
I've been a fan of Sonic the Hedgehog since I was four, so if I was ever going to do any fan art, it was going to be Sonic. I built these with the specs of sixth-generation consoles in mind, but without doing research on what those specs literally are because I'm not making a gameTechnical Information:
Sonic - 1804 triangles
Tails - 1624 triangles
Each has a single diffuse texture map, and these are real-time renders. I painted Sonic's mouth line on this final composition, but everything else is 3D.

I'm not exactly sure what you're asking. If you want to import a model you've downloaded into your 3D program, you can often drag and drop it, or open it through an "import" option in the File menu. It would need to be a model; it's impossible to rip a 3D object out of an image. It also needs to be compatible with whatever program you have.
If you're talking about modeling something from scratch, there's a lot of learning involved, and it's not something I could easily explain. There are lots of tutorials around the web, but without a teacher, it'll require a lot of dedication. Hope you have fun!

I use Nevercenter Silo for all my models. It's not a very common program, but I find it suits my work style better than anything else, and can easily import into more widely-used programs.

The models look ideal for a PSP, NGP, or 3DS game. :>
