Page 2: [link]So yeah, I was listening to the 1UP rpg podcast where they were talking about DAO and how super-powered mages are, and one of the commentators said very matter-of-factly, "Ya know, I don't see ANY of Alistair's templar abilities standing a CHANCE against Morrigan" and when I thought about fighting the other templars as my mage in the tower, and even fighting Alistair's double in the Urn thing, I realized they were totally right. Granted a squad of templars against a single mage would be rough going, but you could totally do it if you used the right order of spells.
But yeah, mostly I wanted to draw a cute, girly comic. It gets even girlier on the second page XD

yes, sadly sometimes us warrior/soldier/grunts get shafted in rpg's, nothing we can do but pull our metal pants up, put on our medieval stormtrooper helmets, and pick up our giant metal middle fingers to the laws of physics (aka: our weapons) and keep soldiering on.
thats said ive no love for those templar weaklings, the only silence spell a warrior truely needs is called "decapitation".
and with my rant over, I've got to say, GREAT comic, ive not actually played DA

But Leliana is actually pretty awesome when you get to know her--her background is full of deceit and backstabbery! She became one of my favorite characters!
And while decapitation is wonderful, I find that shield bash tends to be more satisfying. Especially when you bash them over a cliff ;x

It suddenly occurs to me how good female mages look on that fur-shoulder-thigh-boots-type outfits they're given.

One more templar weakness: Take away their lyrium and they can't use their "anti-magic non-magic".
Alistair is an exception to that rule for some reason...(maybe his mother was actually a mage?)

If you read the first Dragon Age novel you may find some evidence to support your theory....

On the other hand, if you do a templar specialization in DA2 killing off mages becomes pretty easy as well.
The player's side usually is favoured a bit if you are not playing on the highest difficulty.

I think the *real* Templar talent is being irresitably gorgeous and/or having an impossibly cute-puppy face that makes mages melt.
Also that armour would make any mage weak at the knees and thus the Templar can strike!
