It's really funny that you duplicate your layers that way; I was trying to explain the point of doing that to one of my friends. He's says its lazy, I say, no, its Smart.

haha thank you! I actually hve wrist problems very fast, so I need to find other ways to make it less painfull for my wrist. Yeah people can call it lazy, but the funny thing is, you can work on lace like a whle day and end up having a hurting wrist, or you just duplicate it and you basicly have the same effect xDΒ

I have the same problem; after a while it just hurts to draw, especially if there was more to that picture than the lace. Oh! Thought I should mention that you can curve the lace and whatnot with photoshop, if you have it. I've used it to put covers on drawn books and its the same technique. I think its called skew.
