I guess people like the way I draw paws? xD

Anyway, I threw together a quick step-by-step guide of how I generally draw them.

Basically, I use basic shapes (USE THEM!!!) and straight lines to draw the general shape of what I want. Then, I'll go in and make things more specific and define the toes. Nails and pads are optional, of course, but they add more realism. I just about always include them for Image Bank images and large commissions, but not always for tags. This particular style I probably wouldn't use for IB images just because it's more simplified and "cartoony" than what I'd want for the IB.

I upload some photos of my dog's paws later when it's sunnier out for more real references.
