*breathless* I love this! I've been trying to figure out exactly why I do before I commented on it. I think maybe it's the shininess of the legs and the way the sheen changes into the matt grubbiness of the feet until blurs into the rest of the wall.
I also adore that rosy pink colour - epsecially next to the maddy browns. It's very unsettling
I'm desparately trying not to think about any background story behind the scene because it has such an impact on it's own as an image anyway

The dark, grimy, eerie mood of this is fantastic. The legs are off-center, which is really pleasant, and the blurry, out of focus edges give you the impression that you're having a very bizarre nightmare.

Anyway, artistically speaking.. Nice compostion, love the cropping. Elegant.. ya know.. in that beautifully creepy way.

don't count the seal out! You must go out and buy the latest Electronic Gaming Monthly magazine right away! It has Kingdom Hearts on the front.. but there are 4 different covers for this particular issue. but they are all kingdom heart. anyway, on the very bottom of the magazine cover it mentions Silent Hill movie, and inside the mag, there is a 2 page spread on the movie with lots of awesome stills! so yes, go to barnes and nobles and buy it!
for some reason.. game stop only had game informer magazine. so don't go there
p.s. we must all get a group of silent hill nerds together to see the movie, crystal and I have already requested off that day!

Heh, thanks. For this one I used a photo reference from a shoot I did with 17seconds for her valentine piece. She was wrapped up in renoyld's wrap, and I really liked the way we had the lighting setup and how it caught that shine, which as you can tell I'm a huge fan of. Basically just followed the pattern of the light from the reference with a wet brush in Painter 9, blurred slightly in PS using the lens blur filter with only the shine selected using approx 10 pixel feathering. Mostly the reference helped. I think as we do not see something like that often in real life, it's difficult to really imagine it, which is why I like to use references. Glad you like it, maybe that gives you the right direction? Renold's wrap someone's body part (heh, let's keep it clean now), take some pictures, and experiment with the lighting... work for me.
