Amigo el modelo es increible, pero quisiera saber si tiene las manos, me gustaria hacerlo como cosplay, de antemano le estoy muy agradecido.

ScannerJOE In reply to ratman2k [2012-02-05 23:45:51 +0000 UTC]

Para las manos no tengo modelo, construi guantes de tela desde cero que luego cubri con foamy, pinte con una mezcla de pegamento y agua (50-50%), para despues terminarlos con aerosol plateado y luego rojo.

hello this is awesom, sorry for this question, but are you planning post the other parts of the armor like the hands, the upper legs, etc?

Hey there, the download lonk seem to be not working? Could you please guide me to how to download?

ScannerJOE In reply to tann3rite [2011-09-16 22:17:27 +0000 UTC]

The link will take you to a "Now Leaving deviantART.com" page, then if you click Continue it'll show you a mediafire page with a link saying "Click here to start download from MediaFire.." if you click it the download will start inmediately. I've just did it and already checked the file integrity and it's OK.

Good Luck!

Saludos!

any chance of doing a pdf format of it? As it looks great but im on a mac computer so cant open the pdo files

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

ScannerJOE In reply to The-Manimal-Magician [2011-06-02 20:03:47 +0000 UTC]

The thing is that usually you'll have to adjust the scale to meet your size and you can do this only with pepakura. That's why i wouldn't like to release some of these files in PDF (like i usally do with another props).

Can you advise me which paper should be used to make the helmet and what size . THank you smuch

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

ScannerJOE In reply to zonka1993 [2011-05-28 07:18:01 +0000 UTC]

I use 226 g/cm2 (or 10 lb) opaline cardboard in letter size. But after print, i paste it to stronger (thick) cardboard. I use "soapbox" cardboard, you know the brown one, sometimes grey cardboard. Sometimes shine white on the other side. I use to recycle this kind of cardboard from cookies / cereal boxes.

While using thick cardboard you'll have to build your own tabs instead of using the ones included with the model most of the time, but the helmet will become strong and with a smoother surface this way.

You may apply mache to the face to make it more spheric.

Hi Joe!

Your work is awesome and I've started my own version of it
thanks to your modeling skills and files as well. If i may ask,
when will you post the remaining parts here like the groin part,
upper legs, hands and neck detail? And how did you input the lighting
effects in the chest, palms and eyes? can you give me tips on how you
did it? Will wait for your response. Thanks!

ScannerJOE In reply to deejayheero [2011-04-07 06:12:08 +0000 UTC]

First of all thanks. I have to tell you those are too many questions for one post (that's why i'm late with it), here we go:

I don't want to post due dates as i'm failing with them because of my day job and other commisions i have. Although i can tell you that i'm still using an scaled version of this one [link] for the upper legs and groin. You can scale it using [link]

The hands where made using EVA painted with several coats of water diluted white glue. The pattern is a sewing pattern not a papercraft. The neck is made with vynil fabric and its pattern were made using sewing techniques.

For the hands and chest i used commercial lamps, and there is one high intensity led (3 Volt) for each eye.
Each palm lamp has 3 leds and 3 AAA batteries. The chest lamp has 5 leds and uses 3 AA batteries. And finally there are only 2 AA batteries over the eyes.

I'm 1.70m but that's the great thing about pepakura, you can adapt it to your child's height, just download the pepakura designer, my files are unlocked so you can resize them to meet your needs.

Good luck!

They seem to be the same but they're not as you may note there's an inverse unfold in one of them. This technique saves a lot of time.

You're wellcome.

I prefer to answer in english because this is an international forum and most people can benefit of my answers this way.
