Did you know the odds or being struck by lightning are 1/775,000? I'm willing to bet those odds go up if you're fighting one of these guys...Cole MacGrath: Once a humble bike messenger, Cole was granted immeasurable power during an explosion that devastated Empire City. Since then Cole has walked through life toeing the line between good and evil, knowing that whatever choice he makes will have drastic consequences.
Static Shock: Virgil Hawkings was an average high school student, who was exposed to a chemical mixture that filled his home city with various super humans. Now gifted with incredible power, Static strives to do the right thing, and keep his city safe from both criminals and super-criminals.
So who will it be? No matter who you choose, the sparks are really gonna fly! The bike messenger or the student? Empire City or Dakota? Morally ambiguous or Traditional Hero? Only you can decide...
WHO! IS! DEADLIEST!

static hes strategic enough to beat the justice league and has better mobility - train tracks and telephone wires arent everywhere. and coles move list is limited.

Those were mind controlled Justice League. Static can't do anything to him, as Cole is immune to electricity. Static is too, but Cole's attacks can injure foes immune to electricity as shown several times with David(an electric vampire) and his own future self, while Static's attacks are not shown to do the same thing. Cole is probably just as strategic as he can constantly outsmart clever enemies such as Kessler, who deceived the US government as well as the military. Cole is just as maneuverable with his Lightning Tether and the fact that he can use electromagnetism to fly on objects as well, and he can create his own Ice Platform's to do so. Cole can also use electromagnetism better as he easily use electromagnetism on any object ranging from stone, ice, wood, and even cardboard, and can manipulate them as easy as metal. While Static has more difficulty using it on said objects. And he has nothing on him with power as Cole can defeat the Beast, who shrugged off a nuke to the face like nothing. And is more durable as he can withstand the Beast's city leveling attacks. His healing factor also gives him extra edge. Seriously, there is no way Cole can lose this fight.

Wait which infamous game is that "beast" from? Which one does he fight his future self and the lightning vampire, and when does he gain the ability to make ice platforms?

Also, Static is only Town Level, while Cole is up to Moon Level

i hate it when people use "town level" "moon level" and similar titles in arguments like this, because what you saved doesn't factor in to what you can do in combat, but the rest of your arguement is spot-on

No, Cole is Moon Level because he defeated The Beast, who didΒ THIS Β to the Moon(Pause at 7:32).
Also, it's not what you save. The level is that you can either destroy a town/moon or you can harm foes with that level of durability.

sorry to necro, but just wanted to point out that that is a two way street. Static can absorb ANY electric output. This would be a 'who can dodge/throw the heaviest thing' battle, because they can't touch each other.

Static would win, however this would be a very close fight.
Cole has a lot of firepower, skills, and more deadly encounters. But the one thing he lacks compared to Static? Knowledge.
Static aka Virgil Hawkings is a chemistry high school student who is well educated in science. Especially that which applies to the expansion of his electrokinetic powers. He executes feats Cole would never think of. Example: Β Static once slowed down The Flash by applying a static charge/cling to the bridge he was running on. HE SLOWED DOWN THE FLASH.
Brain over brawn. That the key factor in this battle, which is why Static would come out on top.

Neither can harm the other with electricity, as both heal from it. The winner would have to think outside the box, which Static is more used to doing. Static also doesn't die from water, he just gets shorted out. Because of that, he might attempt to short Cole out with water to prevent him from causing damage, and end up killing him.
While this would be a moral loss on Static's part, he'd still technically win the battle. And in a fight where Β neither can directly harm the other, every advantage counts.

I have to give it to Cole. His power over lightning is much more creative and refine than Virgil not to mention he has experience over him.

now this i would give to cole, not only does he absorb energy but by going with both games, he can summon lightning that can decimate a small army, create an electric tornado, lauunch eletric rockets and grenades, use shockwaves that launch people, and can snipe people with electricity, static? can only zap people or throw objects at them

True,but static's a bit smarter than Cole. Also Static can put up EM fields, manipulate/levitateΒ objects, and generate electricity, in which Cole can't do.

true, very true. but static also can get a bit prideful at times and because of that he has been taken by surprise multiple times and been knocked out or forced to retreat, though cole also has his weaknesses, after all, if he touches ankle deep water it can be fatal to him, so its a tough call

This depends on which Cole Static is facing. Beast Cole: Would be more of a challenge unless Gear comes up with something to stop him. Good Cole: Would end in a draw.

Yes but Beast Cole is, unfortunately, non-canon.
(Also, did you know the Infamous ending in the first "inFamous" was suppose to be canon, but the idea was dropped due to fans preferring a more "Goody Two-Shoes" ending.)

Guys everyone quiet down
I haven't known Static for awhile but I've been in enough discussion and debates between the two (I mostly lurk)
Whatever Cole can throw at him he'll counter. Pryokinetic and Cryokinetic attacks are countered by the shields and defenses Static has. Cole's lightnign storm has a low chance of hitting and I doubt they can harm each other with electricity (Maybe kinetic attacks)
So I came to a conclusion Good Cole would lose to Static.... On the other hand if this is Evil Cole were talking about, he'll become The Beast. Well, Static is pretty much dead compared to the beast.
NOTHING CAN TAKE DOWN BEAST COLE!!

It would be interesting. Both are fueled by electric energies. The only main difference would be Static's are electromagnetic whereas Cole's are based more on simple electricity. However, Cole has shown to be able to perform telekinesis, which would be able to match Static's ability to manipulate objects magnetically. Plus, Cole has the good and bad options at his disposal, and it could be argued that he's at his most powerful either when he uses the Ray Sphere to upgrade his (evil) powers, or when he has the AFI amplifying his (heroic) powers.
It may just come down to who's stronger, but it's a battle I really want to see!

I mean, have you SEEN what Static can do with his electricity? It's nuts.
The way I figure, Cole uses his powers like Starkiller from the Force Unleashed. Meanwhile, Static uses his powers like he's Maguyver!

dunno about cole, but static is not just into electricity, he's pretty smart, like, phys/chemistry smart. He can find so many uses for his power, it's surreal. I'm sure he could drag cole into a situation where he outwits him...

ok... everyone here are idiots. cole would get his ass handed to him no doubt and im not just saying that cuz im a static shock fan. i like cole too but everything he can do static can do and has done. read his comic. plus static has technically been around longer so hes got more experience, and he uses his electric abilities in ways no other super hero or villain has used any of their abilities before. hes got brains and he uses his knowledge of science to expand his magnetic, static, and electric powers. hes done everything from being able to see at night, see ppls magnetic field off their bodies, heal himself faster do to high electrolyte count in his body, give different things negative and positive charges to make them magnetic, turn electricity into blades, steal electricity from aaaanything with a charge, turn water or any other liquid into a vapor by discharging it and do anything else possibly imaginable. the kid cant be mind controlled in any way because of his irregular brain waves and static charge. hes beaten superman and every other jla member. he is damn near invincible. and the adult version of himself is even more bad ass. i like cole and he is innovative... but he aint got shit on static....

Indeed. I might be an infamous fanboy but the only Cole that could take Static would be (SPOILER) Beast Cole, which is pretty op himself. Or Kessler if he's allowed to time travel .Either way Static wins against regular cole
