Description
Idea is mine, though based on the Tournament of Mortals. Now we begin a new ear: Where the fates are reversed and those once thought lost rise to find themselves on the center stage!
This is a hypothetical Round 2, featuring two fighters who have both fought to protect mankind from the evils beyond understanding.
Reimu Hakurei: A powerful and holy Shrine Maiden, Reimu has battled everything from gods and demons, to vampires and ghosts, all to keep mankind safe. With her mystical powers, she has banished or destroyed some of the most powerful evil in existence.
Superman: Faster then a speeding bullet, and more powerful then a locomotive, Superman has been the Earth protector for decades. With an arsenal of abilities and the strength to physically move mountains with ease, Superman is one tough SOB.
Now, as the two get ready to battle, we must wonder: Reimu may have fought her way through hell and back, but can she take the Man of Steel? We all know magic is one of Superman's main weaknesses, but that hasn't stopped him before... Can Superman tough it out long enough to pull off a win? And if her magic fails her, what can Reimu do? This battle may rip the battle ground asunder, but in the end, only one can continue on to be--
THE DEADLIEST MORTAL!
Finally, in a classic 'To the Victor Goes the Spoils', after you pick a winner, pick something for them to take from the loser. It may be something as simple as a piece of equipment, to something as complex as a power. I'm just curious what you all would say.
(Disclaimer: Just to be clear, these two combatants were created / are owned by people far more creative / wealthier then me. I have made this, not for profit, but in the hopes of encouraging spirited discussion among fans. Please support the combatants official series. Thank you, that is all).

X and Y in my opinion has the weakest story out of all the Main Pokémon games in my opinion unlike Black and White which introduced us to Ghesitis, the first villain in the series to be a complete monster (Some of the things he does are so evil even the other big bads would cringe hell even his own pokemon hate him if the fact his best pokemon can use Frustration effectively, Note all the big bads from G2 to beyond have Crobat, Which you need max friendship with Golbat to get it, meaning even Cyrus cares for his pokemon)

true that at best a game must have a passable story and/or character's otherwise great gameplay be damned I will grow bored off it and stop playing period, I will also not suffer gameplay suffering for story either, If both are equally great good, If not than the one that suffers cutvack must be passable at leasst (Nothing below C+ rating basically)

see your point there, I did find the only the Rich deserve to survive thing really stupid especially when mixed with Darwinism (I know the man himself would be pissed people misinterputing his words to excuse their evil/kick the dog actions), But them paying a lot of money really didn't show they were survivors or deserved to be the ones who got to survive the apolocalpse THEY WERE GOING TO START, Ironic enough their money ended up KILLING THEM IN THE END as Lynsandre STUPID plan ended up killing them all in the end (Except that one Elite Four member the only one smart enough to leave when she had the chance), Hell the only thing I liked about Lynsandre was he was an example of a SOMEwhat good person misinterputing Darwinism wrong (Usually it's a super asshole in anything who does that) using the sample of you getting the ring instead of your main rival because you were stronger than them, That was Bull as it was more of a battle to see who was the best at the time more than getting the ring which was treated more like an "added" bonus than the major focus (at least in your rivals eyes), Lynsandre never heard of the term "don't break what's not broken" he had no reason to destroy the world other than his extreme illusions (Like those Analyst who keep crying wolf every few years about how the US is going to collapse in on itself like it's a sure thing and never bother to point out the chance that things might get better or making the situation out to be WAY worse than it really is failing to acknowledge human nature and change as their were many who don't the stock market crash of the 30's and the dust bowl was the end of the US yet so many things happened to change that, I think Lynasandre was meant to be a parody on those type of people, "Overhyping things than they actually are")

LOL so true, Like I said Supes and Reimu character wise are interesting, But Powerwise are TOO BROKEN TO BE CONSIDERED A FAVORITE CHARACTER FOR ME (Even the Flash is more balance character and Powerwise than Supes and on the Touhou side Sakuya if people stop braking her power levels as unlike Reimu I don't believe she can keep her powers active indefinitely minus the space thing with the halls at the SDM but being the head maid there and knowing the location well means messing with the Space there comes easy and less energy/magic consuming to her)

That will never happen luckily, Reimu is a lazy genius who gets by on her super luck and natural genius, Which failed her during her fight with Yorihime (COUGHMARYSUECOUGH), Unlike Marisa who won because unlike Reimu who is too use to her brokenness and luck, Marisa can actually adjust her strategy if the usual methods don't work (They work as well as Superman and Batman do LOL)

Yep whatever Byakuren used to turn herself into a Magician Youkai (It's also implied that she used a spell to revert herself back to her youth meaning she was likely in her mid to late ages when she became a Youkai), Becoming a Hermit is the only way to gain immortality without losing your human status (Seiga, Miko and Futo are the only confirmed Hermits in the story, Kasen is debatable largely because Komachi is friendly with her and only has a problem with her bandaged arm's ability, and that assassin from hell who attacked Seiga was not interested in Kasen in the slights, Plus the belief that she is really an oni which is odd since they really dislike lying but she might be different or she might be a benevolent member of Seija race who in touhou are a cousin race to the oni)

Seija is an amanojaku, a race who thinks the opposite of what everyone else thinks in Touhou...
I guess the Lunarians and Mokou would be a category all their own then...

NotaArtistJustReview In reply to NessFan123 [2014-02-27 04:42:28 +0000 UTC]
Amanojaku are known as liars as well (How she manipulated Sukuna (Quite easily mind you) into starting the events of Double Dealing Character worse Sukuna knew what Race she was and BELIEVED HER when she asked what happen to her own people), I say Kasen might be a benevolent member as she capable of lying or she might be a Oni willing to fib (No one ever really asked her if she was an oni, Though she's posing as a Hermit looking at Suika dialogue that she's faking her identity
Almost forgot about those who drink the Hourai Elixer, Lunarian's live long lives but even they age and die eventually especially if they lose that "Purity" Toyohime was harping about otherwise why did Kaguya dring the Elixer in the first place. Becoming a Youkai has the disadvantage of your existence relying on humans still beliving in the existence of the supernatural otherwise poof your gone (Yukari and Keine belief that human's and youkai should remain separate and keep the belief in the unknownen as well as fear of it, Byakuren and Mamizou think otherwise and believe that the races can coexist though Mami has a more realistic look at it such as humans should not have a Torch and pitchfork to flee in blind terror mentality towards youkai as it's known she has good relations with the humans of Sado to the point of living among them and they being aware that she's a youkai and wishes for the same type of relationship between all humans and willing Youkai)

NessFan123 In reply to NotaArtistJustReview [2014-02-27 04:51:20 +0000 UTC]
Well, most amanojaku do tend to be separate from everyone else because of their reputation. Maybe it's just that they had little experience. Somehow, Shinyonmaru is the last descendant left of Issun Boshi, though, hence why Seija needed her...
Lunarians are probably their own thing. Not human. Not youkai. Since Mokou drank the Elixir, and was fully human, what does that make her? I guess Marisa didn't go the Elixir route seeing as how it now only exists in the livers of Mokou, Eirin, and Kaguya...
The Hakurei Border was also made so youkai had a bit more control over what they could be. With beliefs constantly changing in the Outside (assuming they stay), the youkai would change much too much for comfort...
As for the needing belief to live...Are vampires a part of that too? For example: the Scarlets were originally from Europe, and who knows where Kurumi was from?...

I kind of stated that already (She didn't like being weak, but she also didn't care much if the plan failed either what being a Youkai meaning she can like a good amount of the past big bad's of the previous games cause an incident cause she can (Eirin and Kaguya had a reason for causing the Incident of IN, Remilia caused the events of ESOD cause she wanted to move around more freely in the day without her parasol and on a whim, I don't even know why Yukari started the incident of PCB knowing that letting Yuyuko regain her memories by see her body and messing with the seal keeping that evil tree under control BY NOT LETTING IT BLOOM was a good idea, probably lazy forethought on her part (She likely hoped Reimu would deal with the incident before it escalated to that level, The only incidents I can say were mistakes was PFB (Komachi laziness), MOF (Kanako rocking the boat), SA (Kanako and Suwako not counting on Okuu getting all power mad from becoming an Avatar to a Sun God), UFO (Less an incident really and an unintended consequence of the events of SA) and TD (Which is largely because of Suwako knowingly putting a Buddhist near the sleeping grounds of a Taoist and one with a very "rich" history with Buddism at that), Who knows but Seija herself(
Its only a belief that eating the liver of an immortal will make you immortal too, As think about this for a second Mokou was a normal human when she drank the elixir long before she gained the ability to fly and use her magic, meaning she likely fell victim to Youkai and Humans who believed the legend and was helpless before learning how to defend herself (Remember a Daughter of a Noble from an age where she was not expected to fight nor defend herself, and note this is me believing the side that she was a noblewoman and not the hidden love child of a mistress trying to vie for daddy's love by avenging his slight by Kaguya), Hell she's noted for letting herself STARVE TO DEATH Sometimes for kicks adapting Wolverine's acceptance of immortality by throwing caution to the wind since SHE CAN'T DIE (Hell her fight in IN is more of killing her enough times that she gets tired of it and loses motivation to continue fighting and this is IN A WORLD WHERE THE SPELLCARD SYSTEM KEEPING DEATHS FROM HAPPENING IN DANMAKU (Though How Kaguya convinced the teams in IN to become assassin's and subvert the no kill rule is beyond me, though it's implied the fairies you kill are being killed by you, Death is real cheap for those girls).

True, but maybe they thought of the wrong place or something. That or there really was nothing to find. Sometimes I read "liver". Others, I read "flesh"...
Maybe it was an unintentional effect. As for fairies...besides Cirno, they're pitiful. Even there, Cirno's only as strong as being the strongest fairy is...And I thought the fight with Mokou ended when she was in so much agony, she couldn't continue fighting...

Yeah, But what I said about Mokou past before gaining her magic and ability after drinking the elixir is fridge horror material right there LOL
Poor Fairies
Notice the Resurrection Spellcard she uses during her battle where she turns into a Phoenix and "posses" your character, It's heavily implied that she dead during that period and her soul is possessing you till she resurrects, The Elixir is a mix of Immortality, Eternal Youth and in a video game term unlimited lives combine, Your not indestructible you can be blown up or have your limbs ripped off, or your head eaten than you'll have to wait till it regenerates, Your Soul is believed to age with you, meaning time around it and your body is forever still, you will always regenerate to the original form (Meaning Mokou long white hair is likely her original length and color, sane with Kaguya, It's likely Mokou is possessed by a phoenix on the grounds she can't die from the process and the charms on her clothes and hair are to keep them from burning off which means it's on 24/7 or/and she can touch things without said things or person turning into charcoal.

oh I got one, Horror is that Those eyes you see in Yukari Gap's are really Yukari and the body you see is a lie, Horror is the fact that Satori and Koishi have no real bodies, The eyes are really them and the bodies are corpses Rin retrieved for them, Speaking of Koishi, A confirmed horror is that Koishi is a living, walking empty shell, Fandom gives her a personality when in truth canon states she has no emotions and is just doing things subconsciously (Just like her power which is the right kind of broken as she can potentially control your mind (Worse it's at the Reapers from Mass Effect Level, She could indoctorate you, making you do things AND MAKE YOU BELIEVE YOU DID IT CAUSE YOU WANTED TO HAPPLY), But balanced cause she has no mind to be able to think to do so in the first place (She tends to only have the focus of meeting people, playing with children, than wipe everyone's memory of her and move on subconsciously, Wow I'm saying that a lot here aren't I)

And we know how that end for them don't we (Poor people that is the folks in japan at the time who were against the war in the first place, but had their voices quieted down by peer pressure and government enforcement who lost their lives and/or livelihood due to the "end result" of the war, must have been a big fuck you to them when the same people and government who had that mind set and pariahed them, were not boot licking the enemy they kept assuring they had on the robes (Read Barefoot Gen once, powerful series that one)
The thing about Koishi and Satori body is something I heard on the forums and thought about it for a second (The way Satori Eye is connected to her head that looks like a braid kind of makes you think. The Yukari thing came from something I saw once in a Pic, and as for everything I said about Koishi, 100% true (and looking at all description of her powers and how it works being a reverse of her sister Satori ability to read minds (Hearts) and copy Spellcard the victim has previously witnesses, her new power allowed her instead to control a person's thoughts and since this is the subconscious and we know the reapers tend to do this to people stupid enough (COUGHSAREN/ILLUSIVEMANCOUGH) to be in their presence or implant their tech onto themselves, well you get the jest if not for losing her will and knowing she closed her third eye so people would not be afraid of her reading their mind and like her, well SHE WOULD MAKE YOU LOVE HER AND YOU WOULD DO IT WITH ALL YOUR HEART (with a smile for bonus points), WHILE DEEP DOWN THE REAL YOU WOULD START FEELING THAT SOMETHINGS NOT RIGHT WITH THIS (And I must scream") HM had her playable and the reason for the plot as she stole the mask of hope from Kokoro subconsciously and it gave her back her will, the thing was taking it away from her would cause her to go back the way she was which she refused to let happen, sadly she does return the mask and worse for her, instead of instantly returning to her former broken state, she's returning to it SLOWLY (Now that's horror)
