Thank you for the tutorial. I've been trying my hand at photography for over a year now and even though I've read about those terms dozens of times, they always kind of flew over my head. This tutorial was much easier to understand.

Thank you so much for this tutorial.I have my xti for 2 years and did not know how to use it untill now. I was finally able to understand the light meater.I was able to take good outdoor pictures after this tutorial. but indoors, I can't! the light meter always shows -2, and I try to change it ,but it doesn't get out of -2 and the picture turns out super dark.
Could you please help me?
My e-mail is souzamontoya@yahoo.com
Thanks
Cacau

What aperture range is your lens? And what ISO and shutter speed are you using? You might need to increase the ISO, lower the aperture and lower the shutter speed. If your lens doesn't offer a low enough aperture then your photos will ofteh be underexposed in low light situations.

this is good darl. i have a fugifilm finepix s9600 (if i remember right)..and its been compared to the last step on the ladder before a digital SLR cam. the info you posted is relivent to me and makes me want to go out and experiment. its clear and informative. although...for someone like me who is a little...not in the thinking mode right now, i did almost skim over some parts, but forced myself to go back and reread. it makes sense, i'm just a bit tired atm. still great stuff.
