WaveRunner lives on the beach of Equestria's northern most coast, a little to the east of Canterlot. She lives in a small, quaint little home she built herself on a small hill overlooking the coast, and has decorated the inside and the interior with several different various shells and other pretty stones and pieces of driftwood and things she happens upon while walking the beach. She hardly spends any time at home though, she usually stays out at night lying in the sand, enjoying the sound of the water moving across the shore and the sound of the wind through the grass. She only ever really stays inside when it's raining, or there's a severe storm or weather of the like.

Wave Runner is very shy by nature and a bit of a scaredy-cat too, but sweet and careful around others- but perhaps a little awkward. She doesn't trust easily, but will be your friend for life should she choose to. She also tends to be very laid back and calm when on her own (as she usually is), and sometimes has a more 'go with the flow' sort of attitude.

Wave Runner is a surfer by trade, but only as a hobby. She's decent at it, and likes it because she likes being close to the ocean and the feel of the water in her fur and her hair, and because she spends so much time in the water she's unusually close with the sea creatures that live in the water, and is able to communicate with them with ease. She has lots of friends of different species, including fish, dolphins, crabs, urchins, and whales. She's also especially close friends with the Merponies that live in the area, and often times spends hours out on the open ocean simply drifting on her board, chatting the day away. She seems to have an easier time interacting with the creatures out in the sea than she does with other ponies on land, and often times stumbles over her own words and forgets what she's trying to say when talking to strangers, she's not particularly graceful when it comes to words.

She's also a fantastic swimmer, though perhaps that is to be expected.

Wave Runner loves the tranquility of the ocean, especially at night. She also doesn't mind storms or heavy rainfall, but if they're violent or have lots of lightning and thunder, she gets freaked out and hides. She prefers quite, and the calm sounds of the ocean, and the loudness of thunder and lightning terrifies her and her rather meak sense of security, and she can do little but tuck herself away in her home and bury herself in blankets and wait for the thunder to cease.

Despite being a unicorn, she's not very proficient with Magic, and is only able to perform basic, small Spells and simple levitation and telekinesis. If need be, she can use her magic to push back the water around her in allow her to reveal the sand underneath in the shallows, she usually only does this to collect shells and the like.

Wave Runner's mane and tail seem to shimmer with stars in the light, and many ponies aren't sure as to why. Some of them have supposed maybe she simply has a shimmering mane like the princesses do, others think maybe the shimmering bits dotting her mane and tail is just sand reflecting light, nopony knows, and Wave Runner's never elaborated. All anyone knows is that it really does look like her hair sparkles.

She's also a little childish, and quite enjoys making small knickknacks, and creating elaborate (and sometimes nearly professional, if there is such a thing) Sandcastles on the beach in her free time. She also repairs and makes her own surfboards, and has many in a variety of styles in colors she switches and uses regularly.

Wave Runner is best friends with a Merpony that lives among the coastal waters, whose name is Sea Bastion (Sea Bastion {Ref. Sheet + Bio}) - or, as Wavey gave him as a nickname "Sebastian" - and is often time found floating out on the shallows with him nearby, simply chatting away. She thought his name was too long, and preferred calling him Sebastian over 'Sea' or 'Bastion'. He was slightly aggravated at the name at first, but after awhile he gave in and gave Wave Runner a nickname of his own invention, "Wavey".

Wave Runner and Sebastian are great friends and enjoy being in one another's company. Sebastian brings Wave Runner out to reefs and helps her collect shells, as well as shows her all the best spots to see new fish and types of plants of the ocean. Occasionally he brings her something he finds on the Seafloor, whether it's an odd rock, or something that was lost from ponies who walked the lands.
