amazing photo! one of the best i've seen on da. nice placement in the frame. the second B-17 adds to the picture and i think helps add a sense of movement. i like the sepia and it's probably the best for the photo, but it would also be interesting to see a color version (if the sky had some good color?)

no that is a real photo, the only think i did in PS was make it sepia. It was taken at Duxford Flying Legends airshow, they had 2 B-17s, Sally B which is England's only Flying B-17, and the other was the Pink Lady, which came over from France. It was amazing to see more than one in the air, i wish i could have seen more

Out of all your war plane shots, this one strikes me as the strongest. I think the sepia tone, the placement of the planes in relation to one another, and the strong sense of movement are what makes the composition stand out. You've got a strong sense of perspective within the picture. It's almost like a scene out of an old war movie.
How did you ever manage to get this shot?

thanks man , it reminds me of someting out of a war movie too. I took this shot at an air show, it is always neat to see a B-17 flying, even more amazing to see more than one in the same airspace

I love old war planes, it must be completely amazing to see them fly....We have 'G for George' a Lancaster here in our war memorial and it is just beautiful, but it will never fly again!!!

yeah it is amazing, and i have some Lancaster pics to post. i hear they are going to use G for George in the new remake of the Dambuster, which is being done in Austrailia, Peter Jackson is making it. Should be good i have always wanted to see them make a color version of that, the original is amazing too.
